Nobody knows anything about it and I'm sick of autism jokes so here!
ASD- #Autism Spectrum Disorder- is a neurological disorder that typically results in deviant social behavior. Asperger's Syndrome is a disorder falling under the autistic umbrella. This mainly focuses on #aspergers.
I think around 1/6O people are diagnosed with autism, for reference.
But yeah, believe it or not there's a TON I didn't cover here, so please go & look up more info! Just not on autism speaks' website please. Thanks
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

I have something similar(as in with the repetitive actions, seeming rude, having trouble focusing), but my dad won't let me see a doctor or anything for a diagnoses because he thinks I'm faking it(most things started pretty recently). I think I might be autistic, but I really don't know. Do you think autism can be self
diagnosed?

Thank you. So much.
I have autism as well, I was diagnosed at around 2 or 3 years old. And I do have special interests and I "stim" sometimes. It annoys me to hell when people use autism as an insult or it's treated like a plague.
Thanks Harris, for making this. :>

Nice information, i learned quite a bit more! : D
By the way, i have autism and aspergers, i was born with it. It aggrvates me when people treat people like us less than average people just because of of the disorders! people should learn more about this and understand it more.I have big interest in certain things, and emotions can be really strong, i wont say everything though, or it would be a long long list of comments.

As someone who was diagnosed with Asperger's when I was about Twelve or Thirteen, i can relate to nearly EVERYTHING on here! I'm a huge supporter of Asperger's Awareness and Autism Awareness in general and it makes me so happy to see something legit about it on here :) I'm Nineteen now and I'm still dealing with the good and the bad that comes with it.

Thank you so much for this playback!
I hope atleast a few people
learnt something from this.
As an Aspie I'm sick of these
jokes as well. Or people who
claim to be part of the ASD just because
it's super "cool" to be autistic, wth...
Sure, Autism has nice an great
sides, but it can easily ruin your life
with depression, anxiety and social isolation...

This is so cool! I myself have a cousin with autism, and when I hear people talk about it as if they're mentaly ill, or something, it irks me to no end. He's incredably smart, funny, logical, and really good at art. Sometimes he's a bit shy and he doesn't like big, noisy crowds, but other than that, he's just like anyone else! This was really good info :)
Re:
I acutally just found out about them a week ago X''D
I heard a small snippit of migrane about a year ago from a vine, and I had it stuck in my head for what feels like forever. Then I saw the whole song in a recomended thing on youtube, and after I heard it, I listened to pretty much any song I could find by them. Now I know their names are Tyler and Josh, Tyler plays Uke, Josh does back flips off of Tyler's Piano, and I've memorized We Don't Believe What's On TV and House Of Gold on my own Uke.
All I can say is,
"Whoops."

thank thabk thank Thank thank thabk!! AAA i was rcking and stimming the entire video,,,, these are thing s that need to be said,,, Technically aspergers isnt a term anymore, its just autism spectrum, but i think its good to use whatever term you want.
Ok but heres some additional info:
-the loud noises, smell, taste, touch being extreme is from Sensory Processing Disorder, not All autistic people experience it, but the vast majority do. If you dont have it, its basically like everything is a lot louder/brighter/more intense than it should be.
I think our brains dont have the filter that seperates the "unimportant noises" from the "important noises" so we basically hear everything All At Once!! And its actual Death!
-Autism $peaks also supports ABA "therapy" which, in institutions, is abusive, terrible, rather mortifying. IN addition, A$ does not let Real autistics Speak for their foundation, they literally tell all the autistics to "Shut up!" so yeah they are bad.
-spoons (theory)

this is kinda old now but i just want to say that some ppl with an ASD also have just average intelligence... and also i've heard that the spectrum isnt supposed to be from allistic to autistic its supposed to be a circle thing or something but tbh idk why plus the "wrong" way makes more sense anyways
