It woud be weird though, she thought. Crin was Agate, but she wasn't. Both were different people... and it wouldnt make sense to follow the fusion around for something that Crin might not even reciprocate.
She was torn... she turned away and entered her tent again, leaning against the wall and watching the quiet pile of rebel gems as they dozed in eachothers presence.

The group soon reached the counter where she got her room number "Excuse me~?" the gem asked with a smile "Uhm...These three Gems need rooms, we just picked them up today so they are new- Unless. . .Do you three want to share a room or have separate rooms?"

It was an Emerald this time, at the counter, and she looked at the four with thinly veiled annoyance through her glasses, fixing a loose strand of green hair. "Yeah, sure. How many you need again?"
"Just one. We're a team." Andra replied.

The Emerald looked away for a moment, then looked looked back, coming eye to eye with Iolite, who perched on the counter in front of her. "Eagh! You creep!" She stumbled backwards, then hastily had a slip printed and handed it to them. "Here! Now take your creep and go!"

Iolite giggled and jumped down from the counter, crawling back up the stairs... Andra almost snapped at the counter gem, until Van set a hand on her shoulder, and she calmed a bit.

"Thank you... I think."

They climbed the stairs...they had been given a more spacious room, on a lower floor. Andra punched in the code, and the door clicked and slid open with a soft hum.

"This...isnt bad, actually." The three stepped in and took a look around... everything had been set up already. "It'll take some rearrangement but, its better than the last time."
Iolite promptly went to one of the beds, curled up and began to fall asleep...until Van shook her.

"Hey! We still need our new uniforms~" the purple gem grunted in response and got up, standing normally this time.

"Yah..." Andra looked annoyed, then looked over to Star. "C-could you... uhm... just like... turn around? We need a minute."

(I will, I think... I already know Io's, its my peacoat with a (??? Dunno yet) diamond, gray-purple pants, and boots similar to Pyro's newer ones.

Iolite reappeared from hers- she wore a long, black peacoat, with a blue diamond mark over where ones heart would be, She wore gray-purple tights, and purple boots with black cuffs.

Andradite next- she remained relatively unchanged, except her armor was reinforced- instead of her long, cut skirt, she had leg and shin plating, held on by orange fabric, and her chest plate had extended to a full armor vest, with a yellow diamond over the heart as well. Her scarf remained, and she had gauntlets now as well.

Van was last- her shirt and pants had been repaired, as it was merely an aethetic choice, and looked like new. She had lost the bandage wraps, trading them for golden armor on her wrists and ankles.

"There, we're good now, you can look."

Star turned around and her eyes lit up "You all look fantastic~!!"

Andra flexed her left arm. "It'll take some getting used to... It doesnt feel all too bad though." The others noddes in agreement. "So...now what? We dont need new training, so... do we just file for missions, or do we have to talk to someone first?"

While they were squabbling, Pyro slowly opened the door to watch, then. She looked frightened, but at the same time triumphant.

It was time. Pyro had waited until any activity in the hall had subsided, leaning against the door to listen... now, in normal time, one would say it was about 2:30 am. She cracked her door.

She slipped out and tiptoed down the hall, to the next room, tapping in the code, and silently hoping the small beeps the buttons made wouldnt alert anyone nearby. The door clicked and she slipped inside, waiting till her eyes adjusted to the semi darkness.

Both had gotten into the hangar successfully...There was the guards to contend with, but it wasnt so hard- merely saying she had joined Star to help with some fix ups had let them in. She tapped in the keyboard and submitted their mission as 'in progress'.

"Perfect." She turned back, avoiding eye contact, and headed for a somewhat smaller ship. "Now we leave before anyone finds out." In a lower voice she added "I lied about the mission, of course. Database has it registered that we're visiting a planet only a sector away.
...How far is this planet we're going to anyways?"

"Far off in Red Sector 345."

"...jeez, thats... this may take longer than I anticipated. Still. Lets get going then."

"Alright, Well I'll sleep here. . ." she moaned as she sat on in the seat beside the co-pilot's seat. . .'

"Fine. Ill wake you when we get there." She sat down herself and stuck her hands in the panel, and her eyes glazed over as they lifted off...

About halfway through, she tugged her hands out, so she could look at the sleeping gem... it was interesting, seeing as the last time she had watched Star sleep, it had brought nothing but pain... now...

She shook her head briskly and resumed course, until the small white planet was in sight. "Hey..." she reached to nudge the other. "I think we made it."

Star moaned in her sleep. . .

"....jeez." she put one hand to her face, presumably to try and get rid of the faint blush, before setting the ship on auto pilot and nudging her harder. "Star! Wake up. You can't be that tired."

Star moaned as she woke up "Whats wrong with me sleeping?"

"Nothing. We're here, by the way." She flicked a wrist towards the front window and began to descend the ship slowly, entering the atmosphere.

"Hold on~" Pyro smiled nervously. "I didn't exactly do well on my landing tests~!"

Star laughed "You better not wreak the ship!"

"Oh no, I wont wreck it... I dont think." She turned back to focus... eventually, after a few rough patches, the ship hit the ground with a rather loud crunch, and plowed along due to momentum, until it slowed and stopped.

"Ahhhh shit. That sounded worse than last time." She grunted and stood up, running a quick diagnostic on the exterior. Slight damage, a few deep scratches. "This is why Gold pilots ships and not me. I suck at it."

Star laughed as she shook her head "So what are we doing here again?"

"Just...checking it out I guess." She suddenly seemed unsure. "I- you said ships that come here don't often return...
....I wanted to challenge that. Besides, you said something else too, about radiowaves being transmitted on a non Homeworld frequency. I-I thought maybe we could figure that out too.

"Alright~" she ran outside. . .There were ruins all over the surface, snow was falling from the sky...Star laughed as she danced around in the snow, she then stopped as she noticed a silhouette of a large tower of some sort in the distance. . .

"Ah-! Youll never learn, will you?" Pyro stepped outside. "Thats the snow you were wondering about, and- is that a tower...? It looks like one."

There were bright lights shining on the tower and one larger bright light on the very top. . .

"...we gon' go check it out? I dont want to stray too far from the ship, but..."

"We probably should investigate it."

"Alright, lets go." Pyro's gem glowed, and her sword hilt extended. "Stay on guard and stuff... we dont know what lives here." She said as she pulled it out and twirled it once, and began to head towards the tower...

"Crap!!" she yelled as she ran inside, another halberd was in the control computer and another in the the main engine.
"Damn it!! Pyro! We have a problem!!"

"...Oh shit." She ran inside as well and stared at the weapons now embedded in the ship... wait...

"Star, we have to move." She trembled in fear. "The engines gonna blow. We can't fix it, we have to get out!"

Star looked at her "We can't! We'll be stuck here!"

"Oh yeah? Well youre the techy one here!" She spat and glanced towards the now sparking machinery. "Can /you/ fix it??"

"We'll need spare parts but I can do an emergence shut down so it doesn't blow, hold on!" she then put the ear piece on and her vison covered her eyes. . .Suddenly everything shut off. . ."There. . .Its shut down but we still need to repair it."

"...sorry. I was scared... Where the hell will we find spare parts though? We're not in your garage-repair area, we don't have anything readily available."

"That tower in the distance might have part. . .remember there are also abandoned ships here as well."

"...thats true." She headed back towards the exit, but stopped to pull out one of the halberds. "...now we have to be extra catious though... someone knows we're here...and decided to give us a-" she started laughing. "Less than warm welcome."

"Alright.." she stepped outside, waiting for Star to follow before commenting quietly- "Maybe... this wasnt a good idea." She shook herself, almost as if to get rid of the thought, before continuing one again towards the tower.

"Well its in the redzone for a reason. The reports should have been a warning."

She growled. "Oh, no shit, detective. We're gonna figure this out, though." She murmured, the last part of the sentence serious. "...even if it means I get broken. Id rather know what keeps happening here."

What felt like almost two hours passed, they began finding crashed and ruined ships of many sizes and from different time periods. . .Star would run in and check in them, most of the parts were destroyed beyond use but she found occasional pieces that they could use, she also found a bag of some sort in on which she used to put the pieces in. . .
"Hey Pyro. . You know a lot about snow right? Is moving heat signatures normal?"

"?... Snow is water... and as you can probably tell, its cold as hell... wait- you said moving? Like, independently??" She looked around, fear chilling her. "Where are you seeing them?"

"All over the place. . .the appear then vanish, they're huge too. . ."

"...take out your weapon. Thats an order." She retrieved her own and backed up, till both of them were back to back. "I-I think I know what they are. You ever seen a gem, not in forms like ours, but gem...monsters, I guess you could say?"

Im thinking there'll be between two and four. One is a phoenix, one is a green harpy creature, one is a weird metal dinosaur looking thing with long horns, and the last will be a megamoth.

~ I dont know how many you originally planned, and if you dont wanna use these guys, thats fine. I have been almost leading this...sortof... and like...I realize that we're mostly going with my ideas and shit, so... if you want something to happen, go for it, okay??)

Star looked confused as she summoned her shield and knives "What?"

She snickered. "Ill take that as a no. Gem monsters. Usually giant creatures a gem forms when they go through a process called-" a shriek was heard, despite the snow muffling it, it was still loud...and close. "Crap. Nevermind. Ill explain the technical details later." She grinned savagely and rasped out. "Just prepare yourself for a hell of a fight!"

A giant phoenix appeared from the blizzard to their left... it was steaming, as if the snow melting around it was dousing its flames slightly. It screeched- the same awful sound from earlier. It had a gem on its back...

"Hey, theres ugly number 1." Pyro laughed. "Try to go for its neck or chest. If you can get the gem, even better."

Star smiled as the red spike under the bird flashed red and blew up, launching snow upwards like a sort of smoke screen while damaging the beat. . .
She then tossed knives into the the smoke at the heat signature. . .

The bird screamed in pain and flapped its wings, clearing the smoke after a moment, and shook its head.

While it was righting itself, Pyro ran towards it, to stab it through where the collarbone would be. She hit, but the creature breathed a wave of fire afterwards, catching the gem...

"Egh... quick! Go around and shatter its gem!" She yelled out and forced the bird back down, plunging her sword deeper.

Star ran around to its back where she rammed her knife through it's Gem. . .

It screamed again as it dropped physical form and vanished, and the gem cracked before shattering rather abruptly, orangey red pieces landing on the now soft ground.

"Hah... see? Nothing to it." Pyro blew on her arm and patted it rather roughly to brush off some leftover embers, she had a few burn marks, dark black against gray. "He seemed a little too easy though..."

Yeah, but where are the others?"

"Thats a good ques-" one emerged from the blizzard behind Star, and Pyro's eyes widened at the sight of it- a megamoth. "Duck!" She yelled as she threw her sword like you would a frisbee.

Star rolled out of the way and tossed more spikes into the beast , they exploded on contact. "Shit! How many of these things are there!?"

"Too many." She growled and pulled out a second sword to use. "Usually they only appear alone..."

The moth made some noise and scattered shimmering powder from its red wings... Pyro jumped back. "Dont touch it!"

Besides, it only got my shield arm!!" she spoke as her shield folded in wards and vanished. . .The Gem then got up the silhouette of a larger one could be seen behind the moth. . .From behind a wolf like creature jumped out, it hd Sharpe blue needles along it's back and black chunks covering it blue fur. . .He glared at the two as four others stepped out from the fog created by the blizzard "What are we gonna do!?"

"...thats... upsetting." She stopped to stare at the corrupts blankly, then shook her head. "Theres no time to teach you. You ready?" She picked up Star as she spoke...

She spun the other gem around, and both began to glow... after it stopped, a medium sized fusion stood in their place, it had shoulder length black and white patched hair... a light gray vest, dark leggings, and a ripped up, split, shining skirt. Their skin was laced with haphazard yellow and black stripes. Without wasting any more time, Pyro took control and dashed away from the corrupt gems, lifting one pair of arms to shield their eyes.

"Listen! I know you can't move, thats my doing. Youre already cracked, and I dont need you straining yourself." She yelled to herself over the wind as she ran. "Im gonna find a cave or something so we can hide."

Star spoke "A-alright!"

After a while of running...they came across the entrance to some sort of ruins.
"This'll do... to rest, at least." She walked them inside, and as soon as she felt she was far enough away from the entrance, they began to glow, unfusing...

...when both of them returned, Pyro was holding Star bridal style, as if that had been how they had escaped... "Are you alright?" She asked softly.

"Uh... yeah, s-sure. Here, you can-" she set the other gem down. "You should rest a bit, I mean... you can't really be fixed until we get back, so, best to get used to it first."

Star hugged Pyro "Thank you for not leaving me behind. . .:

"W-why would I have left you behind?" She looked away, if only so the other couldnt see the expression on her face. "We...we're a team..." ...after a few moments, she wrapped her arms around Star and sniffed.

"I-I'm sorry. This was my idea, and now look where that got us."

Star smiled "Its okay. . .I got to spend time with you. . ."

"Thats... all you care about?

You're not mad?..."

Star laughed "Yes. . .Im happy you're okay~"

"W-what?" She looked baffled herself, then laughed along with Star. "Why? Why are we laughing? Why do you make me feel weird?"

"I dont know, but I know I love you~"

I can't explain it, at all. But I think thats what I feel. I felt this way with... uhm... you know... but it feels the same." She gripped tighter, as if Star was about to vanish, and holding her was preventing it. "I-I'm sorry."

"O-okay... now that thats out and done with..." she was actually relieved that she had voiced her feelings. "Are... do you feel okay to keep going? ...I lost sight of the tower while I was getting us here, and its still snowing... so we could wait as well."

"Can we wait?"

"Y-yeah, sure! Whatever you want." She hesitantly let go of the other and sat..

The torches creating a dance of light and shadow across the wall, and gave them a somewhat warm feeling, despite the creepiness of the place...

"So... tell me again why you uh.. love me?" She shrugged. "I-I want to hear it again. And we have time."

"Well you're caring, beautiful and a nice person~<3"

"Pfft, im not nice. I didn't really like anyone before... either of you came along." She laughed weakly. "Im a jerk."

"No, you're really nice~!" she smiled.

Blue flames coated her hand "I want to show you things. . ./lots/ of things." she grinned. . .

Gold narrowed her eyes and stared at the flames. It creeped her out a bit... but she liked the other gem enough. "...uhm... okay, sure."

Star saw one room, it looked like some throne room, it had a large ivory throne with a white carpet with black borders on it's sides, the room was torn up and worn, a large chuck was missing from the throne...Star however saw something that caught her eye, a long, silver Rapier with a fancy white guard, and a long silver blade that was modified so it can stab and cut like a normal sword, beside it was a white and black sheath that matched the regal look of the rapier, Star ran over and picked it up "Sweet, Pyro~! I have a new weapon now~" she smiled as she clipped she sheath around her waist and slipped the long blade into it holder. "So what do you think this room was for?"

She wanted to help. She wanted to /matter/. At this point in her life, the small girl didn't care what she did to get noticed. She just wanted to help someone. /Anyone/. Sides didn't matter to her. Sides didn't exist. Good, evil? Pah.

Her limp made her footsteps echo against the floor beneath her. Wherever she was, it was dark. And.. Rather cold. At this, the pale girl shivered, and flipped her hood over her eyes. Her ears drooped, and parting her lips came fog swirling from them, disappearing into the shadows before her.
The limp of hers was getting worse everyday. She's always had a weak leg as a child. Her left leg, boney, scarred, even. The pale girl shifted her weight. She tried humming softly to maybe cool her nerves. Nothing. Blackness, darkness. Nothing seemed to keep her from panicking like she was now.
And what scared her even most, she knew.. She couldn't flee. Not with her leg at this state.

"Hm hm hm hmmmm.." The small gem hummed, starting to squeeze her eyes shut, and pulled her hood tighter over her face. "Hm hm hm hmmmm.."
The song of the sea, that's what it was called. Where has she heard it? Let's call it an old friend. But then, as the small gem peeked from her hood, she gasped loudly, staring ahead. Light? Was that light?
The gem hurriedly limped towards it as fast as she could, only to slow while she neared it. It looked like a grey room. The walls, covered in ivy. Stone, marble, expensive, polished rock beneath her feet. It gave her the chills.
But she pressed forward.
And began to hear voices.
Whispering.

The pale gem flipped her hood off, her pastel hair frizzing ever so slightly at the act. She ran long, pale blue fingers through it, and ducked low, and crawled forward to investigate.

Pyro made a noise- a throaty growl, if you will, and side kicked the halberd, making the divine looking weapon vanish. She hadnt been ready for this... the corrupt gems were enough, and that had already weakened Star by a decent amount, what with the crack and all.

"Well, unless you have a better plan. We still need more time to get out of here. Poofing would catch us mere hours, and we need more time than that." She looked over to Star with sharp eyes, then softened slightly, reminded of the other's pacifist nature. "You dont have to help if you dont want to kill, I can do this."

"We'll take my ship there. Lets go." she spoke as she left the room....

Star cringed as she looked at the ice blue Gem "Come on...there no need to fight...Come with us. . .Come. . .Home. . ."Star smiled as she staggered backwards. . .
