Sorry I haven't been very active. Instagram has drawn my attention from here. I'll try to get to judging entries sometime too. Here's some orcas in the meantime
Yesterday would've been the 2 year anniversary of the day my ex and I became an official couple... if we were still together like that. It still hurts and I still feel damaged...
Also, I had a rather rough day at school... xc I know my co-teachers try, but they still don't understand how I function, and it's a little frustrating.
Wow, this looks gorgeous! I love the sunset and water <3 I'm sorry that you are still hurting, and it will hurt for a long time, but you can't let the past weigh you down. I don't ever mean to say that your boyfriend is in the past - the good memories still stay in the present :) Whaley: You and I must have a similar personality XD Many people find it hard to understand me, and it's frustrating when people don't even try to T-T
The whole reason my co-teachers were assigned to me is because of my mild autism and other 'disorders'. Basically, one of them took me out of class for the majority of the period (when we had 3 assignments due by the conclusion of the class, no less, and I found out that the substitute who was present that day counted me absent) and took me to the counselor's office to discuss my struggling grades. I was told that I was only failing because instead of choosing to do my work, I was drawing. I responded by telling them that I didn't exactly know why this was, but for the past several weeks, I've found great difficulty in concentrating, and, in an effort as not to risk my brain shutting down entirely, I would resort to drawing. I felt as though it was the only thing I could do, and it's been scientifically proven that when someone thinks hard, only a tiny portion of their brain is used. However, when being artistic, several other sections of the person's brain are utilized.
But the teachers present told me to communicate that sort of problem to my psychiatrist (to whom I still have yet a couple of weeks until I visit), and threatened that if I didn't start focusing today, they'd change my entire schedule so that I'd be in all regular (boring) classes. I thought they were supposed to try to help me overcome my mental struggles, and they could do so first by wanting to understand me... xc Luckily, things went a little better today, and I managed to finish most of my daily work.
@Fady I know, right? :/ What a world we live in. But I'm doing a bit better now, though I'm aware it may be far from over depending on which direction this takes. c:> I'm happy to know you're concerned.
Whaley- Man... Your co-teachers sure are... "understanding". Glad things got better today and I understand wanting to draw in class. I would do so at times, especially my college classes during my high school years when I was forced into the college in high school program. People hardly understand me either :/
I understand that it is hard to love or recognize love, and sometimes it feels like God isn't there for you, but it is our lack of faith that blocks us from seeing Him when He stands right next to us. It is our human ignorance that deprives us of seeing the abundances of love that God pours down on us. But He loves us so dearly much. He even gave His son to the world to be slayed, just to give us a chance to be clean! If one does not truly understand God, they will not be able to realize how big of a sacrafice He made. I find it hard to see the importance of His sacrafice, because I have not recognized my sin and realized how worthless and impure I as a human am. Do you recall the story of Job? Job was a godly, wealthy, and good man, with many children and many livestock. At one time, Satan came to God, and requested that he test Job and take away his possessions, to see if he were really faithful to God. (Actually, God was the one who suggested Job to Satan, quite surprisingly!) -
(continued) And so God allowed that Satan could do so. And he struck him hard. He killed off Job's livestock, slaves, children, and took all of his riches, possessions, and his health. His wife told him to "Curse God and die," but Job did not give up on Him. Although he wished only for death, he did not turn his back on God or disbelieve in Him. His three friends came to Job and told him to repent, for they thought that he had sinned, but Job knew that it was not because of what he had done that caused his suffering. Then God himself came to Job, and questioned him of his wisdom. And Job did not reply, but cursed his own self and praised God's power and glory. Then God blessed Job with twice as much of everything as he had had before. The book of Job is all about the suffering and trials than man goes through. My moral is, that you will go through difficult times, and it will seem like God is cursing you, but He will bless you abundantly if you stick to His promises and
never give up on Him. I understand, it is very difficult to hold your faith in these dark times, but note that God is Light, and chases away all darkness. Come close to the Light, and the dark cannot harm you. Sorry for talking so long T-T I guess I could've just told you to read Job, but talking about this helps me too ^-^
Re: I understand that. It's hard to lean on a God that hides his face from you. But wanting to see Him take action is not truly believing. Jesus was disappointed in the people of his time when they asked for a sign, a sign to show that He was the Messiah. People say that seeing is believing, but with a God that you can't physically see, you can't expect to see Him moving. You need to have pure faith in him that He will make a change. But it is hard to have faith. We lack faith, and because of that, nothing really happens. If you don't believe that something big will happen, then He won't make a move. How are you supposed to have faith? Having faith is when we believe that God is real and powerful and that He has full authority to move in our lives. Do you want to see a miracle? Then believe that He can accomplish any miracle. Do you want to see God move in your life? Then believe that He will move, in his own way and in his own time. Even if I say it that simply,
it is still difficult. To believe in God, we are required to throw away all common sense and put aside reality and logic, and just trust Him. For you and I, who like to see things from reality's point of view, and understand things in a logical and reasonable way, it is hard to put those things aside and just believe. Do you call out to God, but He doesn't really listen? Do you try to seek him, but nothing seems to happen? Well, whether you can see it or not, something IS happening. God has already been working around in your life, putting things to work here and there, and at the right time, you will see them. You might think that your prayers don't work, but God still hears them. But He doesn't follow them quite the way you want Him to. God is not a genie. We often pray that Hod will do this or that for us, but He's not going to process like pressing a button. God moves in the ways the He sees is best for us, which can be very different from our own opinions. When we ask Him to
I know you probably already know this verse, but Romans Eight:Twenty-Eight states:
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose."
It's important to note that it's not stated that all things will individually be good, but all things will work together for good. Another verse, Hebrews Thirteen:Five, states:
"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
Keep in mind that the poor actions of people do not equate to God's absence. One characteristic of God that is mentioned repeatedly in Scripture is His faithfulness. You can trust Him. I hope this helps, and I hope things get better for you soon. You continue to be in my prayers.
do this or that, we are practically trying to control God. Who are we to try to pull the reins on the Lord Almighty? Who are we to command, "Do this!" and He do it? Not at all! God is the Creator of the universe and the Author of Salvation, He will do things His own way! Your prayers have gone unanswered because you expect Him to do things your way, but He has his own way to turn your life around, and it will greatly increase your faith. When we trust God, we give him full permission to move around in our lives, and not try to get in His way or question His actions. And that takes submission. We as humans are prideful and selfish about ourselves, and it is difficult to give up yourself and hand the reins to God. God made a move in Job's life only after he gave up believing in himself and allowed God to do whatever He wished. Rather than asking God to do something for you, ask Him instead to do what is best for you, (Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done) and trust that whatever He does
It is very hard to put faith in God, I understand and struggle with it still, but if you want God to help you, you need to believe that He, the God of all men and the Creator of the universe, is capable of giving you an abundant and full life.
Sorry for making this so long, I should have tried to summarize xP
