okay
there is /no such thing/ as a stolen art style.
no style is purely original and has most likely been reused from someone else. my styles are most definitely not original and contain bits and parts or maybe even most of someone else's style. DO NOT TELL /ANYONE/ THAT THEIR STYLE IS 'STOLEN'
also, I don't see a problem with referencing art as long as it isn't traced and doesn't contain stolen characters. if it's an exact copy of the original that isn't traced, that's differnent. then we have a problem.

I think you bring up a good point, since unlike art it's self, no ones style can be 100% alike. Of course, you can be inspired by a specific art style, for instance you may enjoy drawing in the adventure time style. But you can't be sued just for using a certain art style ^^

but when I use some style that looks too much like someone I credit.
