I have several different plants, I have three leafy suculent type plant, one is big flat leafs that vine out, and two small thick leafs, ones an off-spring of the other, they also vine. Then I have an Oak tree that I grew from seed, thats my baby, and last but not least I have an avacado tree also from seed, but the pot of soil I put it in is what brought in the gnats, I'm trying to grow another avacado too.
So yeah I like plants, I almost forgot I have a rose bush that I got for my 15th birthday, we thought it was tea-cup roses and it had died, but we put it out side in the spring, yeah it wasnt dead, its two feet tall now and had ALOT of buds, still has one last rose on it :3. Its normaly out side but its getting cold out, I brought it in the day before the killing frost 0.0.
sorry for rambaling I dont get to chat much x).
Anyways back to the point, I just sprayed the afected plants with soap and water and put out a apple-cider viniger trap so I'm hoping that works.

Yes! it is SOOO finicky it did not want to be inside -.- and it didnt like the tiny pot it came in, once we know where we are gonna be house wise, Me and mum are gonna start a rose garden, we also wanna start a green house business :D cant wait ^u^.

At our old house (the one I grow up in till I was 7) we had a bleeding heart and I beleave it came back each year, but I'll ask my mum because I cant remember.

I'm not british by the way, I just prefer to call my mother mum x), sounds cozy-er to me then mom.

I asked my mum and she said it depends on the plant and the location, if its close to pine or the soil is to acidic it wont do very well, she said ours would barely come back. Hope that helps a little :3.
