When Colby was still a child, he was very well liked by his peers. He was well regarded by his elders, doted by mothers and praised by fathers. Including his family, his father doted on his adorable son and sang praises while his mother gave him strong maternal love any child would want. Both raised him with love and care, taught him everything they knew and the child easily soaked in the knowledge. However...with happiness comes sadness...danger....
jealousy...
Children of the parents whom praised him grew to dislike Colby. Refusing to see his good qualities and only saw red as they watched him with hatred. Children are cruel...and these children lived up to that. They isolated the child, they refused to talk with him. When approached, they would ignore him as if he wasn't there. Colby slowly grew reclusive over time. To him, he liked that the adults regarded him with kindness...but what he truly wanted was a friend, someone to play with...

One day, the children grew bold and told Colby that if he did everything they said, he would become their friend. Being the naive child he was, he agreed eagerly as hope and happiness swelled up in him. They made him do many embarassing things, exhausting challenges and chores eveb complex homework that Colby struggled with. Though, he continued to smile and endured, quietly convincing to himself that his wish would soon come true.
His hope was shortlived however as the ring leader challenged him to find a certain magical item for them. They told him this was their last request. Though, Colby knew that the item they asked for was nonexistent...but he agreed regardless, hoping that it would please the others. So...he left and ventured to where the children said the item was, the center of Svartalheim.
The further he ventured, the colder it got, the dangerous it got and the darker everything got. But it was only normal in Svartalheim...but to a child whom grew up in a home of warm colours, everything was new and intimidating to him. With each step he took, Colby felt fear and nervousness bile up. He felt sick, scared, tired but He told himself that he should keep going...soon however, hegrew too tired to take any step further. So he sat down near a black leafless tree and slowly closed his tired eyes. His usually bright dream world has grew darker each day. Today however, it was ominous and darkness surrounded him. The child felt claustrophic for the first time as he looked around in fear. He convinced himself everything was just a dream, but couldn't shake the feeling that he wasn't alone. Suddenly many voices whispered a question around him. "What..is your fear...?"

Colby though to himself, he has many fears. Being a child, it was only natural to have many fears but to him, there was truly one single fear he has that he does not want to continue happening to him. "...not...having a friend...being alone..," he softly whispered as he looked down. "And what is it that you want...?"
the voice asked, as if mocking Colby but the child answered regardless.
"I...want friends...one friend will suffice me...it can be anyone...i just want...a friend..," here, his eyes began to sting as tears formed. "What if...I'll be your friend..?" Colby blinked his tears away in surprise. "Will you..?"
"I..am the embodiment of fear...everyone's fear...your fear..," as the many voices spoke, silhoutes of children slowly appear. Though Colby only felt dread rise up in him as he saw that he was being ignored. Loneliness came back full blown as he watched in hurt. "I am the one whom resides in the dark...the one whom fed you nightmares...the one who fed on your nightmares...your one...and only...companion...," slowly, the silhoutte of a tall bipedal creature slowly appeared in front of him, behind the children. "Tell me...do you still accept my offer..? dark elf..," Colby opens his mouth the hesitated, his words were caught in his throat and unable to speak but the creature was patient, always was.
"Speak! or are you too scared young child?," somehow, depite the words used to serve to mock the child, Colby heard a tiny hint of rejection. There, Colby found his answer. "I...don't care what you are...if you're fear...if..if you are my demise...a..grotesque creature...I'll...accept anyone..anyone...is good enough...anyone...anything...i just want...a friend..." with each word, Colby felt no uncertainty, he only grew bold and certain as he spoke further. "Whatever you are...whatever my soon to be friend is...I won't judge...I won't recoil in disgust...I won't reject...I won't..fear..," and with that, brightness soon engulfed the child. The 'children' was gone, the darkness was nowhere to be found...only thing that the child could see was the familiar dark black soil of Svartalheim. And the towering goat like cresture whom stood on both of its hind legs as it looked at him with its eerie eyes. [[continued]]
-----The creature lowered its head with closed eyes and Colby could only smile as he took creature's head and softly pressed his head agsinst it. As soon as both of their forehead made contact, the skin of the cresture cracked peeled off. When everything came off, there stood on all fours. A lamb as tall as Colby's chest with fluffy soft coloured wool. "What...are you..?," "Me...I..I am what you have wished for...a friend," [[Exp: Cotton turned into that because Colby does not fear what they looked like anymore, so they took form of what the child liked instead]]
