So yeh. I s'pose this was primarily background practice, since most of the backgrounds I do for my paintings are lazy connections of patterns and colors.
Oh, and this was also an excuse to draw the bat shrimp and possibly expand on him a bit to you lot.

I am really liking this character as well; you have so many great ideas! I also really love the coloring of that grass and the entirety of the background is very good! He really is a good character of yours, though, and he really fits with the entire scene very well!
