FMA will always be my favorite anime. It's been that way for 3-4 years now, and honestly, nothing has come close to that master-piece.
The reason to never forget the date is simple.
That was truely, "The First Day".
It was the day they burnt down their house, and their past lives with it.
The day their new lives began.
They had to remember they weren't those kids from Resembul.
They were alchemists now.
