It already looks really good! Rocks have umh... sharp faces most of the time, so the shades don't have to be to smooth, contrast is a nice playground! ^3^ (but I never succeed, strangely, I always make progressive shades... T_T)

Takes a lot of time to get rock coloring figured out, Glad to see you're trying out other techniques keep it up really looks Great!! ^^
