Human!Simon ref, yo!
He has three spiked bracelets - they do dig into his skin, but he's used to it, and he doesn't bleed anyway (it's magiiiiic).
His right bang slides down and covers his right eye when he gets embarrassed or agitated, and if he gets too flustered, he reverts back to his sea urchin form.
His eyes are slightly creepy, but then again, he is poisonous.
