Towards the #Thegreatcolorsrevival.
I understand. Colors has been going down hill. But do some of you you guys consider the reasons as to WHY its gone down?
Let's be open minded about this.
1. ThreeDS issues. Remember this is a 7 dollar app (or if you magically have it on other devices.) for the ThreeDS
Most ThreeDS's break withen around 1-2 years of use. Not everybody can afford to replace it. No matter how much they wish to join. Or may not even be able to obtain it in the first place.
Cont.
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

2. We move on. Remember Victor, TCG, Hedrover, Lofty, Stalker Blade, Agent Matis and the like? The great comic artists of the Twelves and Thirteens? Only Lofty really posts with the lot not even posting at all or in the span of months.
Them ment a lot to this place but guess what? They're gone. Most have moved on. Or have real issues. Colors is a downgrade compared to other sites. Limited tools and the such.
3. Just how obscure this place is in general. Hey do you use that one threeDS app on the e-shop for threeDS? Not many are artists with 3DS to begin with. I've got absolutely zero streetpasses of this game. Almost nobody really talks about it except the users themselves. Other sites like DeviantArt or Tumblr allow ALL kinds of art creating media. Colors only really allows threeDS's.
4. We are limited in getting noticed. The only real reconized art on here are comics, anime or videogames. Orginal characters? Nah throw those out the window. Plus if you're only okay at art, unless-

you follow bomb everyone them chances are you won't get noticed very well.
This is very discuraging. It creates an illusion of sadness and doubt that you'll never get noticed.
5. We are a small community. It looks big but thats a curtain. Look in an decently popular tag. Say #Kirby. These tags on avarage get around three paintings a day(guesstimate). Consider other sites and their post rate of tags like these getting way more drawings a day. We are small so its easy to reconize one another. This isn't an ideal place to get popular or even just avarage at times.
Please understand I'm not trying to kill your idea. I fully support the idea of fixing colors but I honestly don't think drawing something for a tag and shoutouts of people is going to fix the roots of the colors downfall problem. Its hard to think of an any better approach. Other than shouting, "Hey check out Colors 3D!" on other sites.
If you still disagree with me its fine I'm open minded. But be aware these are the roots-

Same is happening with Miiverse. But instead of being recognized as Social Media. So many popular users left it.It's become stricter too.

of the issues. Go for it if you want I'm not stopping you.
What I'm trying say is if this fails then don't be surprised. Keep this in mind.
Colors was destined to fall someday. Its only a matter of time. But if you want to extend the wait or even try to change the future then try. But please don't throw hissy fits. That's just inmature.
I'm only warning you.

@Ace Miiverse is going to die one day from everybody being hit with the ban hammer. Unless Nintendo changes up their act.
26 Sep, 2015, 2:05 am
I know Miiverse will end. It's broken beyond repair, there is no saving it.
26 Sep, 2015, 2:09 am
@Ace If they redid all the redesigns them MAYBE they'll have the slightest chance of saving it.

You're absolutely right!
With deviantART, you can post more than just paintings, drawings or sketches. You can post photographs, pictures of plushies/necklaces/figurines, and so forth. Colors is good in its own right though...however simple it may be, it's useful for learning.
Honestly I'd like to get a dA account sometime :P

And honestly, some of the things drawn here are just 100% gross
26 Sep, 2015, 2:32 am
@Katt Yeah Its good for beginners but a whole bunch of people are moving out of that phase now. Its becoming more as a useful portable sketchpad.
@SD The first thing I saw in the new posts today was an over sexualized drawing of a female furry.
All sites have these people and colors can't escape it.

Yeah, I agree. Tbh, colors is more of a drawing app than anything else to me. I usually end up posting the stuff I draw on DA or Instagram bc you actually get feedback there.
I'm probably going to be less active here :p and draw more on paper and computer

@Roo Yeah that's how I see it too. Its more of a fun thing to check everyonce and a while.
