(I need to draw a pic of him and the staff sometime. XD Do you know what a Summoner is, like from Final Fantasy X? If so, he's basically a summoner in a way.)

(Aptos' parents couldn't watch him since his father was a summoner and someone was chasing them, so they left Aptos at an orphanage and his father left a staff for him, predicting that he'd be a summoner in the future... it's complicated. XD)
