in the lore two eggs were brought as a gift to the land. 'E' was given to the villages & 'A' was given to the city, however it was dropped & hatched early. it destroyed the city & disappeared. E became known as a life dragon. since it can heal people & on rare occasions revive the dead. recently E has become restless & is destroying villages, stopped healing etc...(becoming more like A)so the prince is sent to deal with this as a coming of age thing :^0
