ok so he can't become a phoenix or tiger,,,,,YET,,,
for my kinda demon thing,, you gotta "level up" in order to do that
as a young demon (in canon he's been one for what 12 years) he's only got the smols like cat, dog, bird, ferret, etc. as he ages like about cs time he can get strongs like a tige or wolf or puma or whatever. if he lives to be a lEGEND(way older than misfit times) he gets to be real fuggn dangerous we're speaking gryphons and phoenix and mythical creatures

Well, to get to the LEGEND level, he'd have to essentially bypass the Demon Curse...
Which, probably IS possible, but is nearly impossible, and it horribly disfigures you.

you'd probably have to be those miracle babies that don't have it for whatever wonky reasons or just find a way to cheat literal death itself
