Let's Help Echo_! by Bully Free Zone

"Hi um... So, I'm not exactly sure if this is considered bullying but one of my old friends (that I've known for around six years) keeps copying everything I do and about me... They started stealing my art style as well... They have also been saying 'oh I'm depressed' or 'I have anxiety' after I come to them telling them 'I'm depressed and need help'" (continued in comments)

(continued from description) "I've also told them I've wanted to die (cause I have A LOT) and she says nothing and changes the subject or sits there and cries until I calm them down... I'm not sure what to do and it's getting so bad I feel like I'm getting no sleep when I'm getting 7-9 hours of sleep each night..."

"Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Obviously your friend thinks highly of you to try to be like you. Maybe they or others pay attention to you and so they think, by copying you, they will get more attention. It's also possible this is all subconscious on their part. Sometimes people subconsciously seek attention without knowing why. Really, this is something you need to talk to them about. Don't sound harsh or judgemental, because they honestly may not be aware of it, but only you two can work this out because it's personal between you two. Be patient and understanding and tell them what you like about them that is unique and encourage them to be themself. If they like what makes them different, they will copy you less, but just telling them to stop won't give them a direction to go, so they may just go back to copying you. They may think you're better than them and will only stop if they feel better about themself.
