Let's Help -DamiStick-! by Bully Free Zone

"Hello! I'm Dami! I'm not being bullied as of yet, but I am afraid I might.

You see, soon I might start wearing skirts to school. The problem is that most people in the school are ignorant to the fact that clothes have no gender. They also don't know that I'm agender, but that's probably a given.

I'm afraid that I might get bullied because people think I'm a guy. Heck, I've already received some nasty remarks for wearing boots to school." (continued in comments)

Anyway, thanks for listening and potentially helping!"

Clothes are clothes, but society does still define strict bigender roles and so you're right that you most likely would receive some bullying. If it's just nasty remarks, like with the boots, that's nothing you can't deal with. You seem confident with who you are, so the passing remarks of others shouldn't be a problem. But the reason your friend is worried may be because of physical attacks. Before you think this can't happen, take a moment to research the high number of attacks against transgender people. The attackers were frustrated by confusion over the gender of the victim, so obviously being agender would fit into that. Something to look into is your school's teachers and staff. When you say people at your school are ignorant, does that include the principal and teachers? If you can be safe being yourself, do it. But if you are attacked and school staff blames you for the way you dress, think twice. If you do it, you will be a hero, but still be safe.

Well, maybe you shouldn't wear skirts... I mean it might go worse. But who said you couldn't wear them at home? :3 Sorry I didn't help much x-x

In case you're wondering how to get a sense of your school's anti-bullying policies and general attitudes, make an appointment with your school councilor and they should know. And, just to be on the safe side, stick around friends and avoid walking home alone. It's possible to be yourself and safe. :3
