I got loads of motivation when I homebrewed my 3DS and could make themes, but I kinda lost it again when I was gonna make the touch screen image because it didn't turn out good and I couldn't fix it.

No, I mean the lighting on its head. I believe it's only that shiny when they're on land, since they're wet. The shading also looks a bit extreme when I look again. Other than that, it's a nice pic though.

Also if you wanted to make it a profile pic, you could have used the touch screen size canvas. It'd crop a smaller portion of the pic.

Still an expert at shading orcas I see! :3 I wonder what ever happened with that surfing painting we were going to do...

Your sea life pics never cease to amaze me. You consistently draw them with a high level of detail, and the lighting always looks great. : )

Yes. I called it the touch screen canvas because it has the same aspect ratio as the touch screen.
