Pro's and Con's of being a human-bird hybrid:
Pro's: capable of flight, has extreme vision in well-lit areas, wings especially useful when in combat (ex: dodging an attack, leaping over an opponent to strike a blow on their blind side, adding thrust or power to an attack, knocking your opponent back with a gust of wind, etc.)

Con's: cannot take off or fly in a tight space, lungs not capable of flying above cloud-level, cannot see well in the dark, cannot fly well when wings are wet/tattered, cannot carry anything heavy (i.e. a human)

Background story:
Skree was 'created' in a science labratory as a tool for war in which her country was preparing for. While still unborn, the scientists of her country, equipped with top-secret and advanced technology, merged her DNA with the DNA of a red-tailed hawk's, thus creating a human-bird hybrid.

Years later, soon after the war had begun, Skree escaped from the flight and combat training grounds that she had been placed in and flew for many miles. She had no home to go to, for her mother died from a disease (which many mothers fall victim to after a DNA merging experiment) and her father died during the war. Her only reminder of her father is the wooden bow that he carved for her long before she had been born.
After weeks of wandering, Skree was kindly taken in by a small, independant village disconnected from the country. She lived there for six years, greatly improving her flight and archery skills.
On her seventeenth birthday, she was confronted by two mysterious characters who brought her (but not without a struggle) to a massive camp hidden in the mountains which housed many other extraordinary and supernatural teens, in which she was further trained for a goal unknown to her or any of the other students.

Oh yeah, her wings, tail and eyes are not her only bird-like features: small, thin, reddish-brown feathers grow on places like her back and arms, the ones on her arms looking more like ordinary hairs but feathers nevertheless. Her nails are also made of a firmer, less-penetrable material and her bones are partially hollow, thus making her much lighter and more agile.

Every language has some issues with grammar XD In Germany there are like a thousand different dialects ._. They've got no idea what grammar is either XD But hey, it's language! :3 Language is both strange and fascinating, I think.

You really should send your work to a book publisher, cause it's fantastic!

I. Colors um... Purple or red and black... maybe
2. Male or female (in other words doesn't matter)
3. Hm.... slightly detailed but not so much that I can't memorize the details quite well. One that looks natural
4. Accessories.... something from nature like... well no clothes, can't draw clothes well. Whatever environment the animal comes from, have an accessory made from that environment
5. Happy personalities I can draw but maybe a character with a deep, unknown past. Like a char that's been through a lot and it's vaguely represented physically but no one can sense what truly happened
6. I might be able to draw wingless dragons but with Cora and Val the wings throw me off a bit

Also, at work we had a Christian come in to the register and she was talking to me about God. I wonder if she's an answer to all my praying the past month. A messenger telling me to trust God and let Him handle what I'm dealing with. Or a way that God told me He has heard me
