Much like Candy Diamond, Cream's addition was not in the original initial character roster for R.o.S. I originally intended to have.

Mainly because Cream wouldn't have her Chao gimmick; instead being a well-rounded melee-only fighter, and the three heroes meant to have their two slots - Blaze, Tiara, and Honey - were going to have their life end early on as an influencial plot point for Silver.

Cream and Candy are also re-written into the story to survive.
