And make sure the shading is quite visible, now i noticed you used the rough paint brush esc tool, that is a very interesting choice that i wouldnt recommend in the way you used it. If you are going to shade, usually the standard brush is a better choice
Oh and a big tip is always portray your character accurately (I'm not hating on the drawing). Mabye looking at a pic of a hyena or a wolf or whatever will also help you.

Ok first things first try doing a few practice runs on paper first, then take your time on the small details to make the picture more elaborate

Then when coloring also go at a pace where you can think of what your coloring and after the base foundation is established, then go on to shading.

For shading dont just slap shading here and there, like coloring, you need to think even before the drawing has started, where you are going to shade

the shading could be more dramatic (darker) but otherwise looks good
