The journey to Air Empire's camp was longer than Ramiel had expected, and thoughts buzzed around his head, as they always did when Dehlia was around. He sped up his pace to catch up with her.
"Miss Dehlia...c..can I talk to you? It's kind of important.."

"Of course, I always have time to talk to you about whatever you need to talk about."

"I want to..I need to know about some things. About when me and Alex escaped the city with you that night."

"Of course... I'm surprised you didn't come and ask sooner... What is it Ramiel?" Ramiel hesitated in surprise. Was getting answers really that easy?

"I...well I didn't want to say anything about it then but...it's been bothering me." The Lightning Empire apprentice paused.
"...Why did you take me and Alex away...?"

*silence*

"Your mother was a very good friend of mine... before..."
*pause*
"before she became as violent as you remember her to be. I was her silver and she... she changed so much in the months after the attack on our empire where Scaeden took our leader abiola, and killed him in front of all of us..."
*pause*

"I've never personally liked the city... and... I know you loved your father. You and Alex wouldn't stop talking about him... I figured he was a hunter... it was the only thing that made sense as to why Viatrix had been caught... and then I found out she was pregnant with you and your siblings and she had you..."

*long pause*
"It's.... hard to explain..."
