This is meant to be an inspiring phrase, but I have my own take on it: You cry over things that have happened, I cry over things that could have happened. Example: You cry over your pet dying, I cry over how the pet could have been happier, (or sadder,) the pet not dying, (or dying in a more horrific way.) or how I could have prevented it.
