To elaborate, purple hair in their world is highly rare, like, slightly rarer than red hair in ours. It comes from parts of what is in our world east Asia (mostly China). Purple hair and purple eyes can be seperate, but they're associated with each other (like ginger hair & green eyes). in theirs, purple hair is never joked about/considered lesser, and is considered beautiful across the board. Violet-haired people are generally considered to be the most beautiful people. So, if you are 'lucky' enough to have purple hair...
Well, in May's case at least, people won't leave you alone. She has lots of problems with creepy guys at school. lots. She kind of wants to dye her hair a different color, even though she loves her hair, so people will leave her alone.
