Putting aside the paragraph above, great picture! Keldeo was a good choice to represent this quote. It's really fitting. Also, the shading is neat. Not to mention I love your handwriting *-*.
Re: I think "getting lucky" has to do with the Punnett square and all that inheritance things. I must say I envy your eyes XD. I'm stuck with really dark brown eyes that look black if I'm not in the sun. Same for my hair XD.
I think it's in the third generation that people have more chances of "getting lucky". My mom's younger sister did inherit my great-grandmother's eyes. Everyone else in my family didn't. Not to mention that the "dominant traits" are dark eyes/hair, and all of my father's family have pure black hair and dark brown eyes ;w;. Getting "colored" eyes was my frustrated dream when I was little XD

It was pretty silly, but at that time I always thought to myself that it was unfair that only my aunt got my great-grandmother's eyes XD.
