@Jayandvolts: I kinda feel like Crystal represents only surface beauty the way a gemstone does. What makes Skye beautiful is her energy and her flying nature. She's energetic and majestic like the birds in the sky and she'd sooner be brought down to earth by a friend in need than any amount of critisism or hate.

Crystals are material items we put value on because of their looks but Skye aspires to be so much more than that. She wants to be recognized for her abilities and her expression. Beauty runs deeper than gemstones
