Al is a normal human who is trying to teach diamond how to be more.... well, human. Diamond is a very you jem, only 115 years old. she is considered a teenager, and she acts both teenager-esk and more like pearl at times. she doesn't know she isn't the only jem on earth and often sees rubble from the crystal jem's old saviors of earth.
