Scince Lamias are half snakes they are also part cold-blooded and need to warm up in the sun because they can't really build up their body temperature
In case of an emergency they are able to build up their body temperature, for example in really cold winters cause they are also part mammals
But as long as it's warm enough they prefer to warm up in the sun :3
