In the deep oceans of Sylyore, a large family of an unfamiliar species swam peacefully. They fed on a soft coral-like plant that spread across the surface of the large body of water. One mother lay on the green glowing underwater sand, her child held gently in her strong claws. She curled her tail around them.

The child was sleeping with her mother, happy and full of coral.

Solaina made a light moan of happiness. She gently nuzzled her with the soft underside of her head. She looked out at the water, her other grown children swimming about, eating up plenty of food. She looked down to her child and smiled. "Such a gorgeous girl..." She said gently.

Kassadi woke up to look at her mother. "mama!"

"where is dada? I miss him..." She didn't remember when he had died.

She turned her head, smiling wider. "Hi sweety." She stroked her child's soft fragile spikes of her shell.

"He's... not here... he died sweety..."

She teared up a bit "dada is... dead...?"

She lowered her head. "Yes... I'm sorry Kassadi... But we have each other and your brothers and sisters." She tried to assure her.

"mama," she said in a cute sqeaky voice "can we go home?"

"Yes child. we are just currently, stocking up on food. Do you wish to try and find your own fun today? just to pass the time?" she offered, trying to keep her mind off of the thought of her husbands death.

Kassadi got up and swam above her mother, "try to catch me!" She swam as fast as she could to their home

"Haha in your dreams little one, I'm gonna beat ya!" She said playfully, swimming after her child.

Because she was the rarest kind of her species, she made it home faster than her mother. "haha I made it first mama! see how fast I swam?"
Kassadi was very happy and excited today.

She smiled, "Silly girl." She followed after her and the rest of the family soon arrived with her. Their home consists of a HUGE hermit-crab sea shell lined with plenty of food on the inside. The bottom had soft underwater moss, perfect to sleep on along with a hidden hole behind curtains of seaweed-like plants. This hidey-hole was perfect to hide from whales and any other predators. It was also great for egg laying but Kassadi was the last egg Solaina will ever lay. Her 7th egg, of which was an uncommon amount, usually its only 6 but if another comes then it is often deformed or uniquely powerful.

"Sisters! brothers! I missed you all!" Kassadi hugged all of her older sibs

Her siblings hugged her back making the same joyful moan the mother had made. "Great to see you too sis!" One of her brothers said, "Glad you finally hatched a bit ago! sorry it ook us a bit to arrive!" A sis said.

Later when it was night, Kassadi was asleep curled up in her nest. her mother curled around her.

She slept softly, the others asleep in their shells near them.

When she had a strange dream, of many weird bird and dragon creatures she had never seen before. Kassadi popped her head out of her shell as she saw her body glowing red.

"mama?! why am I glowing!?" She poked her mother to wake her because she was affraid

Her daughters sudden movement had made her wake up as well. Solaina tilted her head. "You alright?"

"mom why am I glowing red!?"

Kassadi's loud voice awoke some of her sisters

She widened her eyes and the siblings all woke up, staring at the glow. "Ummm... Well you are a 7th egg so you are very unique... but i don't know what the glowing is..." She sighed.

She was getting scared but then a thought flashed into her head, "mama... I had a dream before I woke up," She didn't know what the dream meant but she felt it was connected to this glowing. "the dream was on land and there was birdlike things as well as dragons too."

"..." She went silent. "We shouldn't speak of that place... its been unlivable for us ever since the-..." She paused, tears streaming from her eyes and flowing out into the water. "Since the awakening of BlackShadow... The evil beast he-" she choked on her tears and stopped. "killed him..." she said with barely a breath.

The siblings lowered their heads in equal sorrow.
