MY 3DS by YoshiKitty654

Yup. This is MY 3DS.
I really should change that screen protector soon.

Here's the story about my 3DS if you're willing to listen...

I bought my 3DS used. It was supposed to be "refurbished," but they didn't do a very good job of it. First of all, about a month after I bought it, (When the warranty expired) the wireless connection started acting up. First it wouldn't connect to the Internet for ehatever reason. Then when that started...

...working again, it wouldn't connect with other DS's. (Any kind.) It just didn't want to, I guess. Later after that, it would only connect with other 3DS's. I couldn't get it to connect with my DS Lite. When I tried my 3DS would freeze. After that, I think my Streetpass/Spotpass light started acting up. It would go on, then stay on, even when I opened the system. It would only turn off when I turned the system off. A few days after that the dumb light started flashing like crazy for no reason, and it got really annoying. It showly stopped after who knows how long of that, and now it only goes on when it's supposed to. Around when the light was acting up, my R button stopped working. It would sometimes work, and sometimes not. Soon the L button wanted to do that too. This went on till neither button worked at all. I phoned Nintendo, they tried to help me fix it with a tooth brush, and when that failed, they said I could send it to them for $100. For me, that was way too much. After...

... about a year without working L and R buttons, I finally decided to fix them. I ordered new L and R connector buttons (For about ten dollars), took my 3DS apart and replaced the old ones. I couldn't find anything wrong with them, but the new ones work like new. (Now I can play my Mariokart and Luigi's Mansion again!!!) Now the only thing wrong with this 3DS is the Wireless light. It never turns off. (Except when the system is off) When Imflick the switch to turn Wireless off, the light doesn't go out, it just gets dimmer like it would if you put your 3DS in sleep mode. That's not a very big problem.
All these problems for a discount of ten dollars.

There is one good thing that came out of this. When the previous owner of this 3DS sold it, the people at the store must not have completely erased everything. The e-Shop still had records from the person who had it before me. They had bought a game. Since the records weren't erased, I could "redownload" the ten dollar game for free.

The moral of this story:
Try not to buy used systems. Please.
