haan was in the courtyard polishing their sword. haan wasnt used to the bussle inside the barracks and felt far more comfortable out here in the fresh air. Although you could still hear chattering it, was relatively quiet. Although sometimes haan could hear grunts of distrust from soliders passing them, they ignored it staying poker faced.
(im trying to set the scene sorry haha)

Cedric noticed the trickster sitting alone and gathered up some courage before walking up to him.
"Hello" he smiled
"Beautiful day isn't it?"
He had a basket full of different medicines and a time or two lodged in with the mess along with what looked like lunch

(hhelloo. btw im going to use he pronouns for this rp from now on to make it easier to write (plus haan doesnt really mind what pronoun is used anyway ))
Haan's turned to the young mage talking to him, his eyes quickly following after.
"hrmm!" he gave an affirmative huff and smiled back, "it is!"
Glancing down briefly he could see the many bottles of medicine sprawled across a basket. Looking the boy directly in the eyes he claimed, still with a smile, "that's a lot of medicine for a mage, isn't it?"

He smirks slightly "interesting how you noticed. Ive always wanted to be a priest and be able to heal with staves but.."
He sighs slightly "I seem to posses great talent for electric tomes..so.. Now I always make sure I'm at least carrying some kind of medicine with me that way I can still fill in my dream as a priest while being able to pack a punch "
Looks down at his tiny hands and laughs

Haan stifled a laugh placing his sword back in it's casing. "maybe you should retrain; tricksters can use tomes as well as staves! Haha but you won't be trusted be people too easily, even by priests, so the trade would be your reputation! I myself am probably opposite to you...although i'm pretty good with a sword, my use of tomes and staves... not so much." he takes out some lock picks, putting them between his fingers and showing them to the boy, "plus, i'm more into having fun than being as noble and respected as a priest!" he grinned before bringing his fists together almost clapping. The lock picks vanished!

His eyes seem to widen with amazement
"Well I suppose the art of being a trickster isn't for me."
He smirks slightly
"People I've never met almost always trust me"
He sits next to the trickster and pulls a loaf of bread from his basket
"Would you like some?"

"indeed its not for everyone it seems!" haan giggles
"all the easier to tri-.. thats good for an aspiring priest. You can help more people!" Haan moves up the bench as he sees the boy go to sit, "charity already?" he jokes, "yes please!" taking the piece of bread he reaches into his bag pulling out two red apples, "want one?"

((haan may seem really ooc from what ive shown of haan in comic bits where he seemed a lot more awkward, but if people are kind to haan, then haan acts more happily! uvu))

"Yes thanks you"
He smiles taking one and biting into it
"I don't think I've ever had an apple this good before its so sweet."
(Haans just a big sweetheart. )

haans face turns serious for a second then looks left and right then takes one finger up to his face as if to shush someone, "it tastes good because its stolen!" he paused, looking for a reaction. Bringing his hands to his face he exclamed, "how unholy of you, taking stolen goods so graciously! my my and i thought you to be a righteous man!!"
Pausing again, for longer this time he took another bite of the apple and a smile crossed his face. He turned to face forward, looking to the distance, "..only joking"

(haan plays with people a lot though and will say things he doesnt always mean just to see their reaction. although he usually will only do this to people he's fond of)

He blinks a bit
"I use to steal when I was little.. My parents were always so busy with work that I'd look for anything to get in trouble so.. They'd notice me. I guess that's why I always carry medicine.. So no one I know goes unnoticed..."
He seems to blank out for a moment and shudders
"I eventually ran away from my home you see and was cared for by a war monk. So.. If I stole for attention and can be forgiven I think it's safe to say you can for something to eat. "

Haan turns to the boy, eyes slightly wider than normal, jaw slightly dropped. Quickly, he closed his mouth and his eyes look down. "i see." haan gets out. He turns to face forward again, "thats very kind of you". He looks down for a second before wearing a smirk and tilting his head, "by the way, I'm Haan! Who are you?"

((haan why did you say something that made the cutie remember bad memories noooo.-- look at haan trying to change the tempo from sad back to slightly happier maybe. introductions a bit late hha))

Cedric looked back at the trickster and smiled once again
"Cedric. Its very nice to meet you haan. "

Haan brought his hand out for a handshake, "Nice to meet you too, Cedric!" Haan stood up slowly, "thanks for the bread! I'm afraid i must take my leave" He started walking away slowly, but raised a hand, almost waving. "Let's talk again, Cedric!"
