p.s. I really dislike the lighting of this. The color scheme. I consider choosing colors that compliment each other or are fitting to the environment to be my weakest point/difficulty in art, forthemostpart. A bad color scheme can ruin a decent picture.
p.p.s. oh-- I'm going to a cabin w/ no wifi for a few days soon so expect inactivity for a bit. I'll try to draw at least 2 pics while I'm in the cabin tho

Because the last third of the Hoenn region games take place over water. XD
Anyway, I think the lighting turned out fine. It's not too dark, and it gives the impression of being at the lower levels of the sea that the light can still reach. The level of detail is great, and I personally think the colors were pretty well chosen.

I'd say it's because Hoenn, fitting the theme of Team Aqua and Magma, is roughly 50 percent water on the map. Best to fill that half with many creatures, not just an infinite number of Tentacool and Wingull.

I think this is really nice though. I really like the water reflection on the Gorebyss's back, and the sunlight filtering through the water :0

Because the under-water part of the game is so cool! *_*
The lightning is maybe a little dark? But I think it's really good anyway... Aquatic ambiences are so hard to represent!
