yeah, I'm trying to compare the pros and cons... there are a lot of each. for one, I'm miserable at my public school, like really, really miserable. so, public school is a guaranteed bad... boarding school, not sure. also, this specific boarding school has a lot of outdoor stuff and not as much homework, so I'd be outdoors a lot more, which would probably be good for me. and most of the food served is grown there or locally, so it'd be really healthy overall. the biggest plus, ofc, is that I would be able to go as male (and I wouldn't have to commit to transitioning! I could just experiment, nothing would be permanent, no damage). I'd have to stay in the guest house, not the boys' dorm, but that's fine, and I've already thought of an explanation to tell the other students. the cons, though... I really like living here at my dad's house, esp with my dog here and my friends close enough to hang out any time... this school is 2 hours away, I could only come home some weekends, probably. also, I worry the academics might not be good enough, but I know there are ways to get around that and make it not an issue. also I know that technology use is like, discouraged... I might not be able to use my computer/ds as much and not nearly as freely... and the school is really centered on like, social aspect, and there are only 45ish kids, so I might get tired of them (I get drained if I'm forced to be social when I don't want to)... oh, and the other con is that the school looked kinda dirty overall... :-/ like literal dirt and bugs indoors, it was a little gross.

re2: yeahh,, it's really almost infuriating because for years (literally years) I really hated life and living with family member(s) and I could literally have left home and not cared. like all I wanted was for college to happen NOW because school and life in general were sooo bad. but now?? I'm enjoying life?? which is something I've NEVER been able to say before, which is crazy. it's really why I don't want this summer to end. either I go to public school, get misgendered a bunch and have a shitload of homework to kill my freedom, or I go to boarding school and I don't live here anymore, no dog, friends, etc. it makes me sad, really. I don't want this phase of my life to end

and so it's like??? now?? nOW is when boarding school becomes an option??? where was it 2 years ago??? seriously??

oh, I don't really watch anime much anymore :-P and I've already seen gravity falls and steven universe, gravity falls is like my favorite!! I'll check out the other stuff you said!! :D
