I had some random Spacedeer ideas, mostly for planets and races, but for a little of the story...
I read SOME Spacedeer, but not much (I read one of them), so I don't know what's already in it...
So... First off! Jasper's Species!
You decide the name of it. :P
They were an interesting race, boasting many brilliant scholars and scientists, but, they were also MASSIVE sports fanatics, with stadiums spotting the small planet. This was pretty much all they did... Sleep, Eat, Learn, Watch/Compete.
Until a radioactive experiment went wrong, and the next generation was mutated...
It wasn't anything SUPER major, other than a few physical sizes changing... But, the biggest problem was a black film now covered their eyes, blinding them.
They couldn't read, and they couldn't watch or compete anymore.
Now, with VERY careful surgery, the film can be removed, but the patient will need special glasses to see...

Anyway, STORY S**T.
When I read a bit of SD, I noticed it really lacked... Story?
Here's an idea...
Need a good basis for a few storylines? What if the SPACE POLICE (OMGOMGOMGOMFG), was actually really corrupt, and Ajax was the only really reasonable one.
Soon, the other Officers get sick of Ajax, and send him off on a suicide mission, without him knowing it was a suicide mission...
So, he does the mission and dies the end!
No, he manages to survive, and afterwards learns that it was a suicide mission to get him killed.
He quits the Police, to work for a smaller, lesser known and less corrupt Bounty Hunting agency. Technically, these guys are more Police than the official ones, actually being made of former Policemen, and Soldiers, whereas the Space Police is made of 'Reformed Criminals' and other people who are good at shooting and punching stuff.
In this offshoot agency, he meets up with a bunch of outcast misfits of different kinds, and makes A SPACE SQUAD.
