You tried to find 1 bible Chapter that you might be able to bend to prove your point, but there are many many that prove the truth. You may not know, but God wants EVERYONE to be saved. God didn't murder his son, Jesus sacrificed himself. He could've left at any time, he could have walked away and said "Nope! Ain't doing this," but no, he didn't. Satan even tried to trick him in the desert. He tried several times to tempt Jesus into stopping and joining him, but Jesus resisted! Satan even tried to use verses from the bible to trick him, but Jesus didn't give in. Jesus did not sacrifice himself to make himself exalted, but he was humbled, so WE could be exalted! Hello there. I've been watching you and Witzke's little debate, and I did not like what I saw. I understand that you don't like his religion, but that shouldn't matter. So what if he has his characters act religious? Why should you care? Why should that drive you to say something that you know is hurtful to him about his religion?
Now, I understand that, while trying to defend his stance, he may have gone a little too far, but that was only because you kept pushing him. I'm sure that if you asked nicely, he would have just left you alone. it might have taken two asks, but I'm sure if you kept your cool about it and just kept asking nicely, he would have left you alone.
Now, I will give you both credit for standing your ground, but I believe that you could've been more mature and less harsh in keeping your stance. Witzke presented his arguments with encouraging words, trying to show that he cared, even if you didn't. But you shut him out, pelting him with harsher and harsher words. Colors is not a community of hatred. It is one where people can express themselves freely, and if one person doesn't like something that someone else is doing, they tell them in a constructive way, not a destructive way.

I would like to request that you apologize to him, for what you said and how you said it. you don't have to do it tonight, tomorrow, or even next week. I would like you to apologize in a sincere way, after the hate has simmered down. I can get him to apologize as well, but I'd like you to be the one to start.
I want you guys to make up, put your differences aside, and become friends. Hatred will get you nowhere in life, and I don't want to see anyone get hurt anymore. You don't have to take me seriously now, but I at least want you to think about what I'm saying for a minute. A good, long minute.
Like I said, I don't want anymore hating going around, and I am willing to be the mediator between you two if you are willing to work something out. Please consider what I've said.

I forgive you. :) I forgive you for what you said to me. You said some very hurtful things, not just to me, but to God as well. But God wants us to forgive others, no matter what they did to us, even if it is really hard, which, at first, it was. But, I do forgive you, and I know that if you ask God for forgiveness, he will forgive you, and wipe your sins away, forever.

Very intriguing! It's interesting to learn about these celebrations and their significance to you! That does get me wondering though:
Would you say that the aforementioned holiday icons are helpful, hurtful, or neutral when it comes to promoting or even celebrating your festivities?

I don't know, I'd think if the child grows up and finds out that they aren't real, it'd trigger a loss of trust in the parents, but maybe that's just me.

As for the 7 days thing, I don't technically have any evidence against that, but I believe that it was made in 7 days. Regardless of physics or whatever, God made the rules so he could work with them in any way.

And the Adam and Eve thing. I've actually never heard that idea stated. I also didn't know that inbreeding actually had the consequence (thank goodness it does) as for that though, I do believe they were also the first, because, after Noahs flood they would've had the same problem too technically. God probably allowed it to happen because it had too.

Well, first off, you only took verses from the old testament, which was the old covenant.

Secondly, you are taking these verses out of their original context by separating them.

And thirdly, yes, sadly, they did have to kill people who ere causing too much trouble. Because of two reasons. One, Jesus had not yet defeated death and opened up his promise to the gentiles, and two, if you see a Hitler running around, if he ain't gonna reason and just cause trouble, then it's either hundreds or him

First of all Romans is the New Testament, second don't pull that old testament crap because you said we can't pick and choose what verses we follow, thirdly the whole context argument is a fallacy because Christians do it all the time, even you yourself has done it, and lastly that argument doesn't justify those verses, if anything it makes them all the more egregious. I'm sorry witzke but you're really not helping your case here.

Well, from my point of view, you're not helping your case either :/ We're both not gonna give in to each others arguements I can tell.

I did NOT say we didn't have to follow those ones because we don't choose to. I said those verses you picked were very situational and were assigned to very specific situations and battle, and peoples long since dealt with by the people who were chosen to deal with them. God told them to follow that, so they did, but that wasn't a message for us, it was for them. If you read my post better, you would've understood my pint instead of pretending I'm being a hypocrite.

Theres a verse I'd like to bring up though

Galatians 5: 14-16
"For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh."

I don't find this debating very fun because it just feels like we're argueing. This is just dragging me down and I don't think either of us are going to change our views. I think we just need to love each other and just not argue like this. I don't think God would want us to act like this

Sorry, but that's a very weak counterargument that dodges what was presented, especially since you tried to defend yourself by saying I missed your point, when you failed to properly convey that point, if you don't want to be seen as a hypocrite then convey your point without leaving anything out, otherwise your counterargument will be viewed as hypocritical if it's presented in a way that can be interpreted as such. Also debating is arguing, but just know that I don't believe homose'xuality is a desire of the flesh because if that were the case, so would heterose'xuality you can't have one be one way, and the other a different way, because that's like saying people choose to be gay, or someone saying being straight is choice because it just doesn't work that way. God, and Jesus love gays, and trans people, and never intended for their lives to be viewed as sin, because he intended for certain lifestyles to be set at birth, and others that can be changed, with gender, and se'xuality being set at birth, and unable to be changed. I'll end the debate off with that, and will post another comment to lead into a more casual discussion that I hope to God won't devolve into yet another debate.
