good as long as they're not too long. After a while I start to get bored, lazy, and miserable. Summer holidays are way too long for me.

Depends on the Holiday. My local library is closed on all Holidays, however if the holiday is intended for a large celebration, then it is not a problem.
Though I usually do prefer it quiet, I don't mind a loud and messy party now and then. : ) Plus, the place I work at is closed on most Holidays, which is a nice break from all the heavy lifting I do.
