Daily 62 by Papercut
My initial plan was to have a statue in the middle of the composition, but the background got so overpowering that the direction had to change a bit. Care for a swim?

Haha I think I tend to paint the way I would draw with a pen, lots of hatching to fill shapes etc. It makes each area feel more lively to me, but it can definitely work against me sometimes.

I learned to draw a completely different way on my ipod than on paper. My traditional and digital styles are very different

i think you need to challenge yourself a lil' bit more.. give a theme: like this week your paintings is 'red color' themed paintings, and then, next weeks goes with another different color.. or this week is cityscape and next week beach themed,.. yea just like that.. what d you think?
