My tongue actually stays on the bottom of my mouth, fairly flat and the roof of my mouth is normally pressed down on my tongue....There is usually no space between anything and my tongue never really touches my top set of teeth if I'm just resting...
Yet English was my first language.

I learned today my teeth are pressed together or the front two teeth on top and front two teeth on the bottom are slightly touching (or millimeters apart) most of the time, causing my tongue to stay pressed to the roof of my mouth while still being on the bottom as well, pressing against both the top front teeth and bottom front teeth.
When I breathe through my mouth, my lips are only parted a few millimeters. My teeth do not touch and neither does the roof of my mouth and my tongue. Thus, my tongue stays on the bottom of my mouth, the tip gently pressed against my bottom front teeth.
However, I don't feel comfortable breathing through my mouth most of the time. It feels odd and I begin to salivate quite a lot for some reason.
I tried to keep my tongue pressed to the top set of front teeth only, causing space between my tongue and the floor of my mouth but it just didn't feel pleasant...

Besides, is it really as odd as what anime fans tend to talk about? I've had several conversations merely conversing with companions about yuri, yaoi, and hentai.
