A little bio of Jack's past: He was bullied everyday in school because of his appearance. Things started to get worse as the bullying became physical. His (biological) parents got the two students to be suspended for around two weeks. Kids learn from their parents, right?

Well, the parents weren't any better. The kids' parents were very angry at Jack's mum and dad. Somehow they managed to kiII his parents while Jack was taking a nap. When he woke up, he saw his parents on the floor lifeless. Well, Jack was young at the time and didn't know that they were no longer alive.
Dean worked on his parents case and saw him trying to wake them up. Dean felt bad for him, he picked Jack up and took him home. He washed him up and sat down still carrying Jack. Dean usually makes stuffed animals during his spare time so he started to make a rabbit. When he finished he gave it to Jack for him to sleep with.
(James and Dean were dating at the time. They also lived together.) They both adopted Jack.
