'Pecan' - A Düplegän royal and the youngest prince of the Schatten Empire. Pecan is a nickname due to his long name and is very hard to pronounce for it's in his mother tongue. He came to Priordaen in hopes of marrying the young princess, Genevieve, and unite kingdoms. However, his motives are very shady and his kind personality may be a facade, as so his feelings towards the princess...

Düplegäns are shadow ghouls fabled to be older than the human race. They can take on the forms of any creature and eat humans for survival, giving them a bad reputation among humans. They can eat regular meat from animals to hold them over, but they eventually get sick and must eat human flesh to survive. Only the royalty bloodline can fly when they change form but never leave their castle unless dire, making it easy to spot a Düplegän outside the kingdom for birds will fall out of the sky and flap their wings pitifully. In the kingdom, the closer to the middle of the city you go, the more hellish it will become. The outskirts of the kingdom is more calm due to being able to get proper food easier and less competition for survival, as when the town is more competitive and will eventually turn to cannibalism for humans never enter past the outer ring. The only exception is the 'core' due to it being mostly inhabited by the rich and royalty where they pay for 'shipments', or slaves that eventually get eaten. Düplegän are apparently cruel and heartless by nature.
