Sagitarri grew up in a tight-knit community of gryphs and their hatchlings. She was raised on a concoction of legend and lore, one of the legends being of The Seed. As a hatchling, she dreamed of one day finding the seed and bringing the land back to its original state. A state where her family and community would thrive instead of struggle season after season. As a young adult, a winter came along that was colder than any before.
However, the temperature was not what brought disaster.
As the vegetation that fed the gryph's prey began to die, so did the game. A great famine spread across the land, leaving many dead and others to flee their homes. Sagitarri and her family fled to try and find a land where the prey was more abundant. The famine had left the little family weakened, and none survived the journey to another land except Sagitarri. She lost her mother, father, and two hatchling siblings before she found an area with better game. (cont)

Sagitarri was left alone,in a land that was foriegn to her. She wandered for a while, still struggling to find enough game to support herself, with no idea of where to go or what to do next. She eventually meets a group of gryphs searching for the legendary seed and joins them. She'd give almost anything to bring warmth to the land.
Note: Sagitarri is still very underweight, but wears her coat to both keep herself warm and cover up how emaciated she is.

@Soul: lol, Sagitarri would totally be like," Really? You think so?". Clever naming! I tried to find African names for Sagitarri, but I ended up just using part of the Secretary Bird's scientific name.

(Ceta) I think Goualbus would be so jelly. cx I'm deciding whether or not he should have hidden feelings for Tarri, deep down. Though he'd probably never admit it.

Yes he is. :D I'm working on his ref. He's going to have a leather gauntlet and will wear an adorable little velvet tunic (with holes for his wings, of course xp).
