Here's a more finished piece instead of my 'doodly-doo's'. I am beginning a landscape master studies where I try to mimic composition, values, colors etc. This one is by JMW Turner. I will be doing 3 more of his paintings then moving on to a different artist. Please leave a critique/landscape artist (preferably dead because you can't go wrong with dead guys paintings xd) below in the comments!

It reminds me of Washington D.C. in the eighteen-hundreds, or maybe early 19th century. Nothing really bad to say. I think the level of detail is good---not too much, but just enough.

how about trying out Van Gogh? He has a completely different approach to painting when compared to Turner, but the contrast between the two can make you realize a lot of new things...
