Astrid, more commonly known as Aeri, is a dorky student with good grades, but has yet to earn straight A's. She has a huge interest in astrology and anything to do with space, the galaxy etc, but she has a knack for scripture and decoding things, so she tends to stick with that. She often does things like search for ancient scripts and spells to decode and rewrite in more "modern" text/runes.
She thinks she looks like a nerd with glasses, occasionally thinking she'll get made fun of if she wears them. (One of her insecurities) So, she doesn't wear them unless she's by herself. She uses the magnifying glass on her wand.

Being a more younger student, Aeri has less of a role in the academy, but she always volunteers to clean up/sort things. (which is ironic bc she doesnt organize her stuff) When she gets the opportunity, she'll thuroughly sort the archives and read the files e v e

Aeri is a huge procrastinator, but still looks for things to do to add to her "to do list", even if she'll be unable to do it later on. She's also very clumsy, and may understand or read instructions wrong (potions aren't exactly her thing- She'll probably mess up the ingredients) But she tries her best to interact with others and be friendly. However, she's that sort of friend who will hang out with you too often, and then suddenly "dissapear" for awhile.
Aeri does not excell in magic in any way, but she does have an upperhand with space magic.
Xiu is her Moon Rabbit familiar- seemingly stern and high strung, but is really just quiet and observant. Xiu also has a massive appetite for food.

You can easily recongize Aeri if you spot a witch in your classroom with a massive pile of books at her desk, or a witch flying around with books tied securely to her broom with a tight ribbon. Xiu also occasionally carries books. If Xiu is around, then Aeri isn't far behind.
