i never explained why using darker colors is easier than lighter colors xD basically it starts to turn grey if you overly shade in the same spot. (it happens with dark colors too, just less often) so starting off with darker colors is good to get the hang of it. :-)

.3. I always find these unecessary, there are coloring tutorials, hand tutorials, facial tutorials (basically every type of body part tutorial, & more) allllll over the internet. Hundreds of 'em. & Then once you get a basic understanding of how lighting works, how the body works, the rest is just paying attention to the playback, the artists style, & methods.
...But really I'm only saying this because I don't want to bother you with an everything tutorial. Artists tend to overwork themselves... ._.

dotting actually looks really cool!!! I think imma try it, usually I airbrush. I think starting hard then blurring(by dotting) it will help me determine if I put the shading in the right place. if that makes sense lol
