Seriously, I'm listening to a fanmade Splatoon song too much. e-e)

Kaplan squeezed under the fence dividing the den from the alley way. He quickly trotted to wake the new recruits of his pack.

Segler was waiting patiently at the rendevous point set up by Kaplan near the closest food bin. "Hurry," he thought, "I don't want to get attacked by one of those...things."

Chellit watched him from a few feet away, and gave a strech. "Kapla, are you really going out in this weather? You gotta be nuts." she said, giving a faint hmph of annoyance.

((Aaa Kaplan, I messed up already ;u;))

Kaplan padded by Chellit with his sopping wet pelt and grunted, "Things have to get done and I need you and the others out here with Segler and me."

Keeley glanced around and prodded the ground anxiously. Her stomach growled slightly and she cringed at the feeling it gave her. "I'm so hungry, let's just get this over with." she muttered.

Olivia snoozed comfortably in one of the smaller pipes as the rain hammered the concrete roof of the stuffy den.

Chellit snorted, and padded along with him. "Fiiiine. But tell Olivia to stay in the den, I don't want that scamp getting wet." she said, and followed. "So we're fetching some more idiots today?"

(I don't really know where I'm supposed be so I'm going to just assume I'm at the Den)

Helios' eyes fluttered at the clicking of claws and she groggily lifted her head to greet them. She was still new to sleeping in this place and with all these dogs, but it wasn't completely unpleasant.

Kaplan scanned the dimly lit den and barked out orders for them to wake up and follow him.

(Yeah, they're all in the den except Segler at this point. c: )

Keeley got to all fours and scampered over to Kaplan and wagged her tail. 'Finally time to eat,' she thought hungrily.

(btw you spelt Keeley wrong... Sorry to point that out since you spent so long on this painting)

Helios pushed herself up and yawned. She glanced at the other dogs in the den before warily trotting after Kaplan.

The piebald husky lay on the den floor, twisting and turning in his sleep. On occassion he would mutter a few words in his slumber, resting like a pup. "No, she's the right gal for me!" he spoke in a daze. A sudden bark disturbed the dog, having him wake up. "Hmph, just a dream, Romeo." He huffed, cautiously making his way out of the den.

(Nah, it's fine. There's bound to be mistakes. Heck, I was the one who made it. XD I have to fix all the names anyway since I have to add some)

Kaplan stood just in front of the entrance and told the exiting dogs to wait for him by the fence. The rain quickly showed on the dogs' fur. Kaplan kept glancing toward the open stretch of land from the den to the 3 buildings by the fence.

Fabio woke, his silky fur moving with the slightest twitch. Brown eyes wandered over to the den entrance. The Afghan Hound was confused at first, but he quickly realized what they were ordered to do. Fabio stood, doing his best to remain in grace. Every little movement counted, and he couldn't afford to slip any chances. So many females, so many beautiful coats to brush against. *Hm, I should at least wait to see if they have class*, he thought.

@Quad that's how tall/how many floors/levels they have. The numbers are in the colors but it's a bit hard to see. Sorryyyy :o)

Helios crawled out into the rain and stood begrudginly in the mud. She shook to get rid of that terrible wet feeling, but to no avail. It just kept on coming.

Keeley huffed as rain matted her fur. She cast nervous glances at her denmates, whom she barely knew. She always was cautious about new dogs but now she slept next to a pack of them.

(Fabio is a womanizer XD)

Axle grunted and hobbled onto her three slender legs. She hardly slept and wasn't too eager to be out in the rain. She hobbled out behind the others and longed to have all her legs.

(Oh you know it. -wiggles eyebrows-)

Julia wandered down a road, her tail tucked and head low. She was alone. This made her feel uncomfortable. Everything had changed ever since the fire nation attacked- er, since The Bad happened.

Kaplan sensed something a tad strange and he sprinted through the mud to the fence and barked as he passed the others to hurry under the metal fence.

Helios glanced at the dogs that stepped up beside her. "Do you guys know what we're doing?" She whispered to them under the patter of the rain.

(Everything changed when the fire nation attacked... Now Julia seeks............... her honor.)

"I think it's meal time." Keeley answered uneasily, "I'm not sure though... If it is, I'm grateful."

Helios yipped and didn't bother waiting for an answer before following Kaplan reluctantly under the fence. She braced herself for the mud, getting it all along her underside as she sprinted through.

(Avatar: The Last Airbender reference? I'm bad with references if you can't tell already XD)

Julia whimpered, looking up when thunder boomed. She tore across the road, yelping loudly.

Keeley followed the other dogs and slid under the fence. Luckily her already brown coat didn't show the mud.

(I'm not sure where everyone is. Can Julia accidentally trample a smaller dog and that dog kick her *ss? x'D )

Kaplan's claws clicked on the road and motioned with his muzzle to the path straight ahead. He said loudly, trying to let everyone hear him, "Follow that path until you see Segler, you've all met him. He has something for you all. Be quick and quiet."

Fabio shook hos head, but was rather alarmed at Kaplan's sudden action. What was he doing? He already felt a growl begin to form, reluctantly following the male. It was a rather tight fit under the fence, but he managed. Romeo, on the other hand, paused at the fence. Get under there and ruin his pearly white coat? No thank you!

Keeley nodded at Kaplan's orders, racing across the path. As her eyes wildly searched for Segler, she spotted the shape of a larger dog.

With a much louder yelp she slammed into - and onto - a brown puppy.

Fabio's eyes squinted as clear drops of water hit his face, slightly nodding at the order he was given. He was the greyish dog, right? *A tasteless color,* he thought as he ran, carefully following the road.

Helios nodded and trotted towards Segler, still very much on edge. She sat down a little ways from him and kept glancing at the city, then back at him.

Keeley gasped as she got the wind knocked out of her. Turning, she spotted a large black and tan dog. "Watch it!" she snapped, nipping at her and shoving her harshly. Then she raced off down the path, kicking mud at the dog who trampled her.

Chellit ran up to the pack. "I'm not sorry. I had a thorn in my paw and I had to pull it out." she grumbled, padding in the wet ground.

Helios turned back to see a small dog come trotting through the mud. She grimaced. *Didn't Kaplan tell us to be quiet?* she thought.

Keeley saw Segler and pounded her legs harder, skidding to a stop as she drew near. She shook her coat a bit and took a seat next to Helios.

Julia backed away, whimpering, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!"

Segler sighed in relief. "Come closer to find something to eat," he said, motioning to the large, stinking human-waste bin.
(They eat in order of rank so the higher ranking dogs [near the top] get the better picks)

Eventually Romeo caught up, his belly smeared in mud. He coukdn't help but whimper at the sight and feeling, hesitantly sitting close to a pair of gals. Normally he'd attempt to flirt with them, but how could he with this mucky appearance?

Chellit glanced at the dumpster and fished out an extremely fatty, but quite full steak. "This is MINE. And I'm not sharing it. Don't worry, I found an apple in there. You won't starve." she hissed, and carried the steak in her mouth.

Helios waited patiently for her food, feeling very uncomfortable with all this mud caked to her and rain dripping off her whiskers.

Kaplan followed behind Axle, the last dog in the line as she scrambled vi.ciously to get through. She huffed angrily. Kaplan noticed a large figure up ahead and he bolted towards it. He was snarling, hoping to scare it off. "Speak!" he yelled as his paws pounded through puddles

Julia cowered to the ground, whimpering.

Helios glanced around, and crept slowly forwards. She sniffed the bins and once the others were done, stuck her nose in and pulled out a miserable-looking piece of burrito. Still, food was food and she wolfed it down anyways.

Keeley waited patiently for Fabio and Axle to eat as her belly growled hungrily.

Fabio diligently headed toward the faint scent drifting from the can. So many delicious foods were in there, but he chose the chili cheese fries. Who in their right mind would waste such a thing. He grasped the carton in his jaw, trotting away from the bin.

Axle ignored Kaplan and envied his extra leg. She crossed the street and hobbled up to the food bin and picked something appetizing; a rotting chicken breast.

After waiting, Keeley scampered up and pulled out two stale hamburger patties. As she settled down, she hungrily tore through the pieces of meat.

"Ehh... I'm Julia... please don't hurt me," she whimpered, rolling onto her back.

Olivia woke with a start. She yipped out to Chell. No response. She scuttled out of the cool pipe and whimpered for someone.

Segler hopped into a nearby car with an open door and continued eating the can of dog food he had managed to open.

Helios glanced over at Keeley and jealously eyed her hamburgers. She stood on the tips of her toes and looked over the other dogs. She remembered hamburgers from her time with her owner.

Chellit padded on her way back to camp. "Is anyone here? Hmph." she said, and dragged the steak back. She had to keep this steak nice, it wasn't just for her. Maybe she should run? She'd get to camp faster.

Kaplan's tail remained high but he stopped snarling. He stood in front of the strange dog and said, "Where are you from? How many others are with you? What's your business? Are you one of /them/?"

Keeley paused for a moment and glanced at Helios eyeing up her food, "Want some?" she questioned, nudging part of one to her.

"Who? No... I'm alone. Who are you?" she winced after she asked, afraid she had offended him.

Axle watched the small shibe padding away, wondering what she was planning. "Aren't we suppose to stay here...?" she thought to herself while ripping the flesh away from the chicken.

Helios nodded and trotted over. It felt greedy of her to take Keeley's food, but hamburgers were her favorite, and well... everyone was hungry. Helios took a small piece and chewed on it a while. "Thank you," she said, bowing in gratitude.

(XD Hamburgers are her favorite thing, how could she resist?)

Chellit approached camp, and she saw the small, dark shape in the distance. She gave a smirk, and dumped the steak down. "C'mon mutt, time to eat up." she said in a rough tone.

Kaplan relaxed a bit and said, "I'm Kaplan and you're in my pack's territory. I'll have to remove you or you can join us. I'll have to bring you to my advisor to see what he thinks."

"Sure thing." she replied, "I'm not all that hungry anyways." Keeley then finished her food and waited for Kaplan's next order.

Julia wagged her tail lightly, "Yes, please! You can trust me! I'll be good, I swear!"

Olivia sprung up and towards Chellit. She yipped and wiggled her back end with her front on the ground then bounced up and ran circles around Chell. Finally, she stopped and, still wiggling, she gobbled up a sufficient amount of the meat

Jack hung towards the back of the group, his flowing fur plastered to his sides by the rain. This showed off his boney figure even more. Being the lowest had no perks...

As all the other dogs practically lept into the dumpster, the papilion turned to a ragged garbage bag. It already had a large tear in it. He nosed through it a bit and perked up when he thought his jaws clamped around a bone. No way! He pulled quickly and out popped a drumstick...covered in maggots. He yelped at the grotesque surprise, freezing up for a moment.

Kaplan nodded and instructed the large dog to follow him. "What did you say your name was?"

"Julia, my name is Julia," she replied, getting to her paws.

Helios nodded and smiled before padding off to the outskirts of the group. She patiently waited for Kaplan to say something.

Chellit quickly flashed a smile, then went back to scowling. "Aw c'mon! You left me almost no meat.. You are growing though. But I swear, if you eat too much that I d!e of starvation, you're gonna have to get your own meals, alright?" she said, then smacked up the remaining meat. "Now go back sleep or something. It's wet and everyone smells awful when they get wet."

Axle noticed the small dog with the gross find. She gagged and didn't feel quite so hungry anymore. "Here." she growled and staggered to an area close to the odd husky.

Keeley scowled as she spotted Kaplan returning with the black and tan dog from earlier. 'What is she doing here' she thought angrily.

Oli lapped at Chell's chin with her pink tongue and took off inside the den and dove into the pipe before Chellit could snap at her.

Julia lowered her ears when she saw the brown dog from earlier.

Coyote awoke, his pelt covered in filth from the ground he had rested on. He got up rather quickly, shaking his golden pelt.
(I'm a bit late... could I get a recap?)

Chellit gave a small smile, and then padded off to look for Kaplan. He'd probably yell at her for not listening, but he should know by now that she hadly listened.

Jack perked up when he heard the larger dog. "Here" she simply muttered, then trotted off. The small dog turned to notice the remains of a gross but somewhat intact chicken breast. Much more preferable than maggots. He quickly wolfed down what was left without a second throught.

(They just followed Kaplan for mealtime Spot)

Kaplan told Julia to stay where she was while he spoke with Segler. He called to Segler and he poked his head out of the car. He hopped down and Kaplan was closing in. He said in a hushed tone, "Another female... Julia, she says. She seems a bit large to be so submissive but I'm not complaining." Segler peered around him and caught a faint glimpse of the dog's large silhouette.
"She looks imposing though..." he said. "That could deter /them/."
Kaplan nodded and turned around to go back to Julia with Segler behind him.

Julia sat down and shook out her mane while we she waited for Kaplan to return.

( @Spot, The people who have been here from the beginning are already in the pack and they're just eating. Coyote can be in the pack already or like Julia, he can get brought in)

Without much else to do, Helios got up and began to sniff the area. She wanted to get to know the dogs better, so she weaved in and out of the crowd, catching whiffs of her new packmates.

Coyote stretched, then bounded over to the group of dogs that he didnt realize had some tension to deal with. "Hey guys!" his rather high voice/bark quickly was heard. He didnt notice the newcomer as he looked into the mouth of a trashcan.

Kaplan and Segler reached Julia and he gave her their answer, "We've come to the conclusion that you may join our pack. Any issues though and I won't hesitate to act. I'll formally introduce you to the others when we go back to the den. For now, get some food in you."

Keeley closed her eyes for a moment and inhaled the scent of her fellow packmates. Although they smelt terrible due to the rain, she began to get used to their scents.

Axle growled loudly at the irritating voice of the low ranking dog. She was officially done. She started back to the den to get out of the misersble weather.

She dipped her head, "Yes sir... are you sure there's enough food for everyone?"

Chellit walked towards the area with the garbage bin.

Helios sat down again and began to try to lick off the mud, but it ended up being futile. She gave up and layed down, resting her head on her paws.

Kaplan sat beside Segler and he said in a soft, low tone to him, "Keep a close eye on her."

She timidly walked towards the others, "Um... hello, I'm Julia."

Keeley stopped sniffing and turned her attention to her matted fur coat. The rain had almost washed the mud from it but she still felt uncomfortable and began licking her paws as she lay down, still awaiting Kaplan's orders.

Keeley tried to take no notice of Julia as she approached and continued cleaning the mud away. She silently hoped that Julia would recognize her and stay away.

Helios lifted her head at the voice and jumped at the sight of such a large dog. "Hello, haven't seen you before..." She stood, a little on edge.

Kaplan nodded and said, "Don't worry. Just eat. We need to stay strong."

Olivia tried to sleep but she wanted to play and explore. She cried and rushed to the doorway and decided to go. She wobbled/ran after Chell.

Zero padded through, looking at each packmate. If he was going to be in the pack, he might as well get a good scent on each of them.

Fabio licked his chops, looking down at the empty fry tray. He had to admit, that was one of the best meals he had in ages, even if it was small. His eyes looked around. The females were rather... interesting. One was hesitant, one was selfish, and one had a bad temper. Wellm at least in his eyes. *Ugh, maybe I can at least charm them.*

Jack was gnawing on a bone when the new dog greeted everyone. His eyes widened and he accidentally splintered the bone as he bit down. She was big. Big and scary. Jack took the largest bone left and scurried off to lay under a tattered overhand that remained attatched to a nearby building.

Chell continued walking, until when she heard padding and turned around. "Oh stars, nooo.." she said, and watched as Olivia ran up to her.

The golden mutt continued to eagerly stare into the trash-can, his eyes darting from all sides of the circular object. Coyote pulled himself closer, and dragged out an unidentifiable substance. As much as it secretly disgusted him, he was starving. He lay down on his thin stomach, chewing on it. (Sorry about spelling.)

Julia grabbed a chunk of an unknown meat and gnawed at it.

Keeley yawned and rested her muzzle on her paws. She felt unusually grumpy today since she had gotten trampled by that big clutz of a dog, Julia.

Zero headed toward the smell of food/trash. He saw several dogs from the pack and began to approach. Once his paws where stretches from the trash he grunted to clear his throat. "Hello," he barked giving a wag.

Coyote glanced up from his "prey", staring at the new dog. Her fur looked rather large, making him feel slightly nervous. Being the cheerful and social dog he is, he greeted her back. "I'm Coyote!" he barked, however his tone wasn't as enthusiastic as it usually was.

[Fabio you charmer *eyebrow wiggle*]

She looked sad. The other dogs were scared of her, and she hadn't even done anything.

Kaplan looked around and barked loud enough for everyone to hear, "Hurry and finish eating. There will be a pack meeting." He trotted off towards the fence.

Well since i'm here, and I happen to have experience RPing in abandoned/distopian cities mind if both my dogs happen to be, oh lets say, scouting in some area of the city or other? Any plot point is fine but just to be sharp, may I have a brief plot summery? What i've missed 'n such. Just major events if there were any.

Keeley looked up and saw Zero standing infront of the group, "Oh, uh hi." she replied cooly, giving her tail a wag as a signal of welcome.

"I'm Julia," she replied to Coyote, wagging her large tail.

Chellit gave an annoyed sigh. "Alright, let's join the other morons. Everyone probably smells like dung right now." she said, walking mildly slow to let Olvia keep up with her.

Helios heard Kaplan and followed suit. She hoped he had good news to deliver.

Jack noticed Kaplan order a pack meeting and stood up. Despite the downpour, he gave his fur a brisk shake and trotted back off to the den.

Zero looked at Keeley and nodded. "Thank you,"he woofed as he joined her and began digging through the trash finding bits of morsels. "What is your name if I may ask," he said glancing at her.

Julia sat down and payed attention, her ears raised.

"I'm Keeley." she replied smiling then asked, tilting her head, "and you might be?"

( @BlueJay Sure, they could be near their current location [bottom left basically] or somewhere else. They just went to a dumpster to eat stuff and they're now going to a meeting)

Zero's ears perked at Kaplan's orders and finished up with his scavanged meal.

The wagging of Julia's tail seemed to make her less threatening. Coyote's nervousness didnt seem to be visible anymore. "Where did you come from?" He began to speak slightly quick as usual.

Keeley got to her paws and padded to the pack meeting, she wondered if it'd bring good news... or bad news.

Zero caught up to Kelly on the way to the metting," I'm Zero," he woofed. "Nice to meet you Keely."

Helios glanced back at the other dogs. *I should probably try to make friends.... or at least allies* She drew her mouth to one side, furrowing her brow. *They're all kind of dorks, though....* She huffed and tried to focus on Kaplan.

Segler sat and waited for the stragglers to finish.

Axle padded after Kaplan and Helios relieved to be moving. She spotted that shibe again with the young pup. She sighed as they neared the chain-link fence with a hole in the bottom corner.

"Around here. But we should pay attention to the leader?" Julia woofed, tilting her head.

Chellit arrived with Olivia happily running around her. "I'm here, and I know I didn't miss anything.. Of importance." she said, eyes narrowed.

He gathered where the other dogs where, his discolored eyes locked on Kaplan, ears perked like radars as he sat on his haunches.

Shadow padded quickly down a narrow street Luca a few paw steps behind him. The street was empty and gis surrounding mostly quiet if not for an occasional bark or overhead roar from a sky climber.
Luca was on high alert despite there being nothing to be alerted of. Her eyes landing on every inch of the area possible and her nose and ears twitching. She was always like that, paranoid. Shadow glanced at her for a moment before continuing on down the street. Keeping them both to the side.

"As was meeting you." Keeley replied, changing to a brisk pace to catch up to Kaplan.

Kaplan slid under the fence followed by others. He barked at the two small dogs coming in the opposite direction, "Pack meeting." was all he said and he continued to the den.

As Zero was waiting, he began to scan over the pack, looking at each dog. {quite some pack} he thought to himself.

Meal done, Fabio trotted at a decent pace back to the fence. It wasn't from view, making his trip a bit leisurely, even if it was raining.
Romeo perked his ears at Kaplan's orders, backmand forth from his apple and the fence. In an instant the husky wolfed down the apple, even if it was rather mushy. After his meal he came racing back to the fence, slipping every now and then.

Segler growled lightly and said, "Hurry up. You'll miss the meeting."

Helios padded into the dark den, relieved to be out of the rain. The patter of the storm on the pipes was calming, in a way, and Helios soon lost her wariness. She settled down into a small indent and waited.

"Pack mee- oh!" Coyote's ears perked with realization, quickly turning his attention to Kaplan. Most of the time he would pay attention to things like this. He shrugged it off and focused on the powerful dog.

Chellit frowned. "Alright, what's it this time?" she said, and proceeded to mutter "Do you have fleas again?", and she walked over to Kaplan, nudging Olivia along.

Zero followed the other dogs close on their tail, wondering what the meeting was about.

Keeley stopped once she arrived at the den and settled down. She glanced at Zero and Helios. They were the only two dogs she had really interacted with so far.

Julia followed, her fur plastered to her skin, yet sp*ked up and looking intimidating. She barely managed to squeeze under the fence, but only because it broke more because of her bulk.

He padded over to Helios, "May I join you," he asked tilting his head a little.

Kaplan finally made it to the den with some of the pack behind. He ducked inside, under the broken doorframe and shook his pelt of the heavy water that clung to it. He placed himself on top of a large copper pipe and waited.

Helios nodded. "Yeah, sure." She paused, then looked at Zero. "What's your name?" She said it quietly, so as not to annoy Kaplan.

Chunks of fur clung to the fence, but Julia didn't seem to know it. She gathered around with the others.

Shadow urged Luca to pic up speed as to make it back to the den as quickly as possible. They galloped through alleys and cut corners. Their shattered collar chain links clinking loudly as they ran.
"We're almost there." Shadow informed his sister in between breaths. He let out two loud barks as a signal of arrival and number of arrivals as they entered the area.

Coyote rushed to the den, trying not to slip on the mud that had been created from the rain. He had no trouble darting through the fence.

Keeley slyly crept over to Helios and sat down next to her, turning her attention to Kaplan.

Zero glanced at Kaplan and at the rest of the pack making their way in.

Fabio entered the den, Romeo not too far behind. The two dogs departed, taking different paths. Fabio sat closer to the copper pipe, gingerly positioning himself. Romeo ended up in the back, focused on the pitter patter of the rain.

Segler barked in response to the dobermans (dobermens XD). "There's a pack meeting to get to." He was close to the den already

Helios smiled at Keeley. At least now she had two friends in the pack, or so she assumed. She shifted around a little bit before resting again, waiting for the rest of the pack to get here.

Chell patiently sat down, and whispered to Olivia; "Now don't you dare speak, because Kaplan has an "amazing" speech of his to give. It's probably going tp be moronic, but you gotta stay quiet, okay? Or Kaplan will lecture you, that time with an even worse speech than before." she hissed, and then straightened herself back up.

Helios looked at Zero again, woofing softly. "Helios." She grinned.

Zero gave a nod,"Nice to meet you Helios."

Keeley noticed Helios' smile and felt a bit less uneased by the fact she hardly knew any of the dogs in the pack. She now at least had a friend, at least she assumed they were.

Oli sat beside Chellit and panted annoyingly loud. She kept moving her head around to look at everyone.

Axle sat by herself and sighed.

Segler ducked inside and shook himself and sat on the ground in ffont of Kaplan.

Shadow barked in reply as he joined Kaplan at the den enterance Luca appearing beside him.
"Well consider us there. Also may I add the streets are clear and we found an area neer here that is infested with large rats." He shook his glossy coat and padded inside.
Luca nodded quickly in greeting and followed her brother, her ears twitching. She shook her caot as well.

Jack trailed behind everyone, not wanting to interfere. He finally slipped into the den and took his place at the back...where it leaked. He'd fight for a better sleeping place, but his size and strength was against him. The papilion flopped down, wet fur clumping under him.

Without a warning, Coyote bounded up to Zero, managing not to knock into Helios. "Salutations!" he said, wagging his tail.

Helios jumped as the hyperactive dog came bounding in. "Oh, my..." she mumbled, still startled.

Julia noticed Jack and padded over, "Um... you look cold. Would you like to lay in my fur?" she winced, ant*cipating a bite or rude response.

Zero jumped up at Coyote's sudden appearance, ears perked, he raised his hackles, "Don't do that," he growled. He sighed and settled down," Sorry," he huffed sitting back down," My training teaches me to be alert," he snuffled.

Kaplan cleared his throat and began to speak, "Attention everyone. This pack may be small, but it's growing. As you've all probably noticed, a new dog has come to join us. Her name is Julia. Now, onto more pressing matters. The food won't last forever in that bin. I will arrange several patrols to scout out this area some more. Any volunteers?"

"I'll go." volunteered Keeley. 'I need a break from some of these ruffians...' she added to herself.

Helios woofed at this. "I'll go. I'm fast, I suppose." She shifted her weight, not sure if that was a good decision on her part.

Zero's ears perked at the kob offer and stood up. "I'll volunteer," he barked looking at Kaplan.

"I can help!" Julia barked eagerly.

Chellit sighed. "If I have to." she grumbled, and then glanced at Olivia. "Are any of you willing to take her back to camp?" she asked the group.

Coyote slightly backed away nervously, eyeing Zero. Suddenly hearing Kaplan's bark, he paid attention, listening to his announcement. His ears perked up with excitement at the mention of patrols.

Olivia looked at Chell with her tongue lolling out. "Can I go?" she whispered louder than she meant

"I'll go!" Coyote barked.

Jack cowered back when Julia came over. He was still intimidated by her size...but her proposal seemed friendly enough. Kaplan had started talking so the small dog didn't want to make any sound. He simply just rested his head against Julia's leg.

Luca who had just sat down with her brother sat up right and in a rough bark proclaimed
"I will continue to scout."
Shadow looked up at her from his spot on the concrete floor.
"But, we just got back-"
Luca looked down to him
"I know but I can't sit still, you know that"
Shadow rolled his deep blue eyes and nodded.
"I'll stay here then"

Zero glanced at Coyote backing away. He felt sorry for startling the dog. He turned his attention back to Kaplan.

Julia wagged her tail. The smaller dog finally didn't fear her, and that was a huge accomplishment.

Chell scrunched up her nose and closed her eyes at her stupid mistake. "Frick." She said, and then looked at Olivia. "Stay HERE." she looked at everyone. "Here. Okay. Now it's fixed." she said, still upset at her mix-up.

Helios shifted her weight, nervous as to how Kaplan would respond, and where exactly she'd patrol. *Gosh darn... I always do this... think before acting next time, you doofus!* She thought.

Kaplan nodded. "Segler, Zero, and Coyote will scout north of here. Chellit, Luca, Julia, and I will scout to the east. Shadow is in charge until we return. Remember to use the pipes to your advantage in any emergencies."

(I haven't eaten since yesterday afternoon ugh)

He noded a little at Kaplans words. Zero then sighed, a little dissapointed that he got stuck with the dog he had frightened. He shrugged it off a little and looked at Segler.

Shadow stood and bowed his head in understanding.
"Right!" Luca barked in reply, standing and pdding towards the exit to group up.

Coyote wagged his tail, excitement building up in his chest.

Chellit gave a huff. "Alright, let's get this over with." she said, and stood by Kaplan.

Zero's ears perked at the thought of Helios joining the group he was with. {At least I will know someone} he thought lifting his mood.

"Ugh, I'm stuck with Julia..." muttered Keeley under her breath.

(I'm gonna go. I feel dizzy and ugh)

Helios grinned a little. It wasn't a bad group she was with, at least, and at least she knew someone.

Axle snapped awake and noticed dogs standing. "What did I miss?" she mumbled

Kaplan leapt down from the pipe and back out into the rain followed by Segler and the rest. "If you see anything sus.pi.cious, do not confront it; avoid it and continue or run. Be safe, not stupid. We don't know what's out there. Be extremely careful. All right, move out!" with that, he padded in the direftion of the bridge.
Segler went back to the fence area.

Helios trotted after Segler into the rain. *I'll have to get used to this stuff...* She sloshed through the mud, excited, but nervous. It was, however, a lot better than wandering the streets alone.

Zero was on Segler's tail, he looked at the other groups go their way and turned his attention ahead of him.

Kaplan noticed Julia staying back. He figured she was just shy and overwhelmed.

Luca lept eagerly out into the rain, bounding along with her group and following Kaplan. Her long legs giving her an advantage to speed. The rain was cool and welcoming against her sleek white coat.

Zero loved the feeling of the cool and damp air, he sniffed a snoutful, taking in the rainy scent.

Suddenly, a bright flash of lightning hit a few streets down. Kaplan turned to face the dogs and saw Segler looking at him. He barked loudly, "Let's go back. It's not safe right now..."

Zero saw the lighting strike, hearing Kaplan, he began to turn back.

Helios blinked, and sprinted back to the den. She could hardly stand the rain, let alone lightning!

As Segler turned, the deafening boom shook the ground and whatever windows weren't smashed out. He picked up speed and followed Kaplan's orders.

Coyote let out a sharp yelp as the sound of lightning rang in his ears. As soon as the flash was gone, Coyote had already turned around and rushed to the den.

Kap and Seg sighed as they re-entered the den and shook their fur. He explained it'd be safer to wait out the storm before going anywhere. Kaplan layed down and licked his fur. Segler decided he would guard the entrance.

Olivia had fallen asleep again.

Axle figured she'd just get some sleep.

Coyote curled up in the den, his slender frame trembling as he stared out at the storm.
