Daily 38 by Papercut

I made a resolve not to make todays Daily too dark. So I went with something more delicate, still trying to expand my sense for values. This drawing ended up all over the place, I obviously should have gone for a simpler subject matter, or just constructed it properly ... But I still feel pretty happy with what I've learned.

I like the monochromatic theme, and the shocking blue splashed in the centre

nice job, do you think you'll ever work on a more finished type of work?

@M.Collins Thank you. I could totally have played up the light values here a bit, but it's so fun to play with effects like that when everything else is kept pretty subtle.

Thank you @Goner

@JJMAwaken For me, the strength of painting on the 3ds is that I'm forced to focus on the big general stuff. Mostly because blending and detailing is tedious on such a small screen, so in the end I prefer doing my finished work on a computer.
