I'm totally enjoying this low contrast approach! If I can only get the contrast back up where I need it a bit more, I think overall quality will increase noticeably. Thats the thing with trying out new stuff, It rarely works on the first try; tweaking is key.

Very nice! The low contrast makes this not so far off from a photo, I'd say.

@asassin667 thank you, that's the thing with dark shots, you can pretty much get away with murder (figuratively speaking) and it will still look somewhat believable.

@Lukalope I got many more months of these to do, so hopefully they improve eventually (also darkness tends to sugests more detail then there actually is :P)
