Maple sat on her bed gently petting Lightning's head.

Lightning slightly purrs and his ear flicks with content (i believe thats the word)

"You're so cute Lightning." Maple purred with a gentle smirk tapping his nose.

Lightning lightly scrunched his face. "Heh so are you." He stretches and yawns. "mmm what shall we do today hm?"

Maple chuckled, "Let's go to the beach."

"Mm alright that sounds fun" Lightning sits up.

"Then go get ready." Maple said standing up stretching her arms over her head.

Lightning smirks a bit "Do i gotta go now?.." he laughs "Just playing i'll go" He gets up.

Maple chuckled giving him a hug. "I'll be out soon." she said as she released him and then poked his cheek.

[Gotta go. *hugs* We can continue later tonight or tomorrow.]

Lightning walks out of her room and leaves quickly to change. He later returns to pick her up.

Maple was all ready to go. She wore a black bikini with sunglasses over her eyes and a towel over her shoulder. "Oh hey Hun, I just have to grab my bag and shoes." she said going to grab them.

A light hue of pink dusts over Lightning's cheeks as he took notice of what Maple was wearing."Alright" was all he said while looking at his own attire. He wore Red Swim Shorts that ran down to right above his knees and brought his towel.

Maple grabbed her stuff and came back too his side. She could read him like and smirked seeing him self-consious. "You look great goof." she whispered in his ear and kissed his cheek before taking him hand and dragging him outside with her.

Lightning smiled while treading along with her. Once at the beach he led her to an open spot that was clear from others. Setting up his towel. "want me to lay yours out as well?"

"Sure. Thanks love." Maple said with a wink giving him her towel. She then looked up at the sun with her eyes closed and arms spread wide as she enjoyed the warmth of the sun.

He smiles as he happily takes the towel and lays it next to his. He then stands upmand looks at maple with mischif (idk how to spell my gawd XD) gleeming from his eyes.

Maple pretended not to notice the mischievious energy behind her as she enjoyied the sun. She stood waiting for his move.

Lightning runs over to her picks her up and then starts treding towards the water.

Maple squeaked and started wiggling. "Lightning! Don't you dare!" she laughed trying to get away.

Maple tensed as the water hit her and she was now a soaking wet mess of fur. She scrunched up her nose and shot a playful glare at Lightning. "I'll get you back for this. I promise." she said playfully but with a hint of warning.

Lightning swims next to her, "Awe common, admit it was a bit fun before you 'ki11 me'." He laughs and splashes her playfully.

[Fun fact of the day, hedgehogs when in water like to splash the others in their group as a sign of both youre my friend and as a playful provoke. XD the one thing i learned in bio]

Maple said nothing and just stuck her tongue out splashing him back.

When they got back to their layied out towels, Maple found a note on her towel. Curious, she picked it up and layied down on her stomach to read the note. She instantly regretted it.

Maple's ears went back and her face held an expression of horror. Her ex was back and her kidnapped her sister. She sat up trembling dispite the heat. "Li-Li..." she managed to whisper. "We have a problem."

Lightning looks at her and sees her expression. He quickly sits up and scoots next to her, wrapping his arms around her trembling body. "H-hey, whats wrong Maple Tree?"

Maple showed him the note.

Hey Babe,
Long time no see. I need you back. Just so you don't try anything I have you sister here with me. She's so cute with that terrified look in her eyes but she not as cute as you. You are mine. Maple just tembled in Lightning's arms as the words were burned in her mind. "B-Blossom. H-He has B-Blossom." she whispered tears in her eyes.

[I'm the same way but the past few days I hadn't gotten much sleep so I needed the sleep. xD]

Lightning takes the note and reads it over. He then crumples it and clicks his tounge in annoyance. "Tch, Who does this guy think he is??" He hugs her to reasure her, "Hey don't worry we'll get her."

Maple nodded and slowly got herself under control. "We need to get home and get ready. We're going to be in for a huge fight." she said trying to sound confident but her voice cracked as she spoke.

Lightning stands up. "Mm so whats the guys name? And where should we start looking for him? The note didnt exactly give an address."

Maple stood and picked up her stuff. "His name is Mark and he's my ex. He was one of the biggest reasons moved here. As for where, I already know." Maple said taking Lightning hand and walking home.

Lightning nodded, "Alright." He thinks for a moment. "Hmm, so how are we going to do this?.. You got your cool sparking power, but me on the other hand... im not really useful. I could throw in punches"

Maple stopped and looked him dead in the eye. Her green eyes dark with confliction of telling him something. "You're stronger than you think." she whispered almost inaudible as she continued to her house.

Lightning follows close behind her.

Maple led into her house to find it destroyed and pictures of her were everywhere on the floor. Pictures of her eating, laughing, playing. Pictures of pretty much everything thing, even a close up picture of her sleeping. Maple again began to tremble from a mitxure of fear and anger.

[I'm so sorry I haven't replied. I've been busy baby sitting and helping a family friend with paperwork.]

Lightning looks around in disbelief. "We were gone for only an hour..." He then looks at the many photos at the ground. Picking one up that interested him. "Guess your ex doesnt really like me, heh.." He hands her the pic of them together with lightning scratched out.

"Seeing as how he's an obsessive psyco that thinks he owns every girl he goes out with even after he breaks up with them, yah. He doesn't like that you're my boyfriend. We'll deal with the mess later. Right now, I need to get a power boost and then we're going to the library." Maple said to her room and then reaching under her bed.

"The library?" Lightning asked a bit confused. "Oh wait Blossom likes books..okay got it."

"Yep." Maple said pulling out a large case from under her bed and opening it to show her beautiful maple wood longbow and quiver with 15 arrows in the cylidrical quiver. Maple grabbed two black bracelets and put one on each wrist before opening a small box and looking at the bottle that held light blue pills. Signing, she opened and took two pills and closed the container and put it back in the small box. After that, she put on a black tube the showed her stomach and a pair of flexible black capris. She then put the quiver and longbow over oppisite shoulders and slid the case under her bed again before leaving her room. Back in the living room, she grabbed the remote and turned on the news.

"......." Maple said nothing but slowly, the air around her started crackling with electricity and a low growl came from deep in her throat. "He's going to die." she snarled, death in her blue eyes.

Lightning not wanting to be shocked walked to her and put his hand on her shoulder in a reasuring way. "Comm'n lets go get Blossom, kay Maple Tree?"
He started walking to the door and looks back at Maple. Concerned about whether she'll be okay durring this.

Maple followed him saying nothing. She was ready to kill and it showed in her eyes. The rage that fueled her now was a rage that couldn't be extiguished.

Maple ran beside him silently. His touch was comforting but she had to be strong right now and so, she released his hand wouldn't let him touch her.

Lightning looked at her a bit hurt but shook it off and continued on. The ally way eventually led to a dead end. Lightning walked to the wall and felt around pushing in a loose brick. A door opened in the wall.

Maple narrowed her eyes and glanced at Lightning. A new anger filled her but it was conflicted with hurt as well and she growled to herself to refocus herself. She hated when people kept secrets because had been hurt by secrets in the past in the past.

He goes through the door. "Heh the one time i bring someone over i didnt clean up." The place was a bit shabby but had all the essentials a regular house would. he scratched the back of his head in embarasment. He walks to another door. "Out side this door is the library, It'll be the back of it so we can enter through the back door undetected."

Maple just nodded saying nothing and followed him.

[In her rage form, she doesn't care. A secret is a secret. She hates secrets.

"Sorry i didnt tell you about this place sooner. " He exits through the door.

"Yah, whatever, let's just go save Blossom and kill my ex." she said.

"Right.." He enters through the back door of the library "well.. here we go."

Maple enters the library slipping the bow off her shoulder and draw an arrow from the quiver. She then notched it and tried to detect where her ex was holding Blossom host,age.

Lightning starts looking around. The library was in shambles. Ruined books with torn papers scatered the floor. He looked between the various book isles.

Maple hears something farther ahead and stealthily stalks forward until she finds her sister tied to a chair with her mouth tapped. Upon seeing her sister, Blossom shakes her head eyes wide. Maple got the message to late and her ex walked out of the bookshelf beside her smirking. "Hello my love." he said reaching for her. He was too close to her so she couldn't her bow and as she stepped back she slipped snarling. "Back off! Stay away from me and let my sister go!" she snarled electricity radiating off her body.

Lightning heard Maples voice and hurried along to get to her. "Hey Maple you alrigh-" before he finished he saw blossoms condition then looked at Mark.

Maple glanced at Lightning and gave a small growl before looking at her ex again. She hated even thinking his name. "I'm going to kill you!" she snarled lunging a Mark with sparks dancing at her finger tips.

As maple was busy with mark lightning went by blossom and started to untie her. "This might hurt so sorry in advance" He takes the tape off of blossoms mouth.

A scream escaped from Maple's lips as Mark stapped a hidden dagger into her stomach before she could reach him. She grabbed his hand weakly though and did electricute him before falling to the side, the dagger still inside her.

Blossom yelped as the tape was ripped off though hearing Maple's scream, she yelled. "MAPLE!" she screamed tears in her eyes.

[XD That's to funny and this is what I meant when I said I wanted to be evil.]

Lightning turned around to see maple fall. Seeing how she was stabbed. "MAPLE!!" Lightning gritted his teeth. Anger raidated out of him. He looked at Mark his eyes changing to a cold de.ath red.

Blossom looked at Lightning scared scensing the darkness and anger radiating from him. She backed away and hid though was very worried about her sister.

Maple gently smirked hearing Lightning. "You're dead now." she hissed weakly to Mark who gritted his teeth and glared at Lightning through cold icy blue eyes.
[He's an unofficial character of mine so I haven't drawn him quite but he's a raccoon. I'll drawn him for you so can see him.]

Lightnings voice deepened and sounded darker than usual. "You're de.ad pal." He stummbled towards him then fell holding his head. Sounds of pain and growls can be heard as his body structure began to change. His teeth grew sharp, his hands started growing claws outta them. After it was over without a second of thought lightning lunged at mark.

[i must note when lightning is like this hes a bit unstable. The thing that provoked him, in this case maples stabbing, he'll feel overprotective and attack anything that comes near her. so watch out blossom. >v< man i love lightning, and yeyy lol]

Mark snarled and took the dagger out of Maple before slashing at Lightning leaping back with his agility.

Blossom stared trying to hide herself more as she watched. She was really scared. After being kidnapped, watching her sister being stabbed, and watching the nice guy that freed her turn into a snarling monster she what every logical person would do. She cried. Softly of course, but she broke down. The stress was to much.

[XD I love Lightning! He's awesome.]

Lightning was slashed at the shoulder, but because he's in this state he didn't care what so ever. He growled and circled Mark, looking for an opening. When he found one he dashed towards him and bit at said place.

Mark yelled in pain as Lightning bit into his side, pretty deep I might add. He snarled stabbing Lightning's exposed back. "Die!" he snarled in pain.

Lightning yelped in pain. He then bit at Marks arm which was holding the knife or daggar which ever one.

Mark screamed dropping the dagger and by this time, authorities started entering the library after hearing the fight start. Witnessing the fight, they rised their weapons prepared to fire.

Maple managed to get up and hold her arms out until she need one to curl around her stomach. "Don't shoot." she hissec in pain falling to her knees. "Get out before he targets you. He won't hurt me, so it's fine." she hissed again looking back at Lightning.

Lightning pinned Mark. He looked at him eyes full of anger and hatred.

"Li-Li." Maple said as softly as she could as she crawled over to him. "Lightning. It's over, I'm safe. Please, stop." she said making him look at her. Her eyes were their normal playful green though they did show her pain. "Baby, please, that's enough." she whispered kissing his forehead.

The authorities and Mark watched in shock. Blossom watched her sister in amazement as she showed no fear.

Lightning growled slightly and glanced at Mark. Then back at Maple. His growls slowly ceased until it stopped completely. His eye color slowly went back to that baby blue. And his body started changing back, shrinking an stuff. His wounds now even more visible than before.

Maple got him in a hug and pulled off of Mark. "Arrest him. He attempted to kill me and my boyfriend and kept my sister hostage." she said to the authorities as she gently pet Lightning's head sadly looking at the wounds. "We'll also need an ambulence." she and they nodded.
Blossom crept out of her hiding spot and slowly walked to her sister. "Maple..." she whimpered seeing the wounds Lightning recieved.

Lightning looked at her and lifted his hand and brushed her cheek lightly. He smiles lightly "Glad you're okay Maple Tree.." He closes his eyes and passes out.

"Li-Li." she whispers before falling unconscious as well. Her rage mode and blood loss taking it's toll.

"Maple." Blossom said hugging her sister and petting Lightning until they're taken by paramedics and driven to the hospital to have their wounds treated.

Few hours of surgery for both of them (cause they gotta get stitches etc.). Lightning wakes up confused and a bit panicky.

Maple wakes up to the sound of a heart monitor and the sterilized smell of the hospitle. She opens her eyes but her heart races with interal panic when she remembers what happened and can't see Lightning. "Lightning!" she tries to scream but she can't make a noise, her throat and mouth are too dry to do so.

Lightning now in a panic tries to move but his arms and legs are strapped. (safety procautions) "W-where am I?!?"

Maple's ears twitch picking up his voice in another room. She pushed the help buttom on her bed and a nurse soon came in. "Water." Maple managed to say and the nurse nodded bringing her water. After drinking the cup of water, Maple said, "I need to see Lightning. If you have to take my bed to his room. I just need to see him.

The nurse gave a conflicted look. "I need to ask for permission. I'll be right back." she said leaving. Maple just rolled her eyes and sat up wincing as her stitches stretched.

He tries to sit up "Ah! wth?" He winces in pain. A nurse from the hall way enters the room. "S-sir its okay calm down." she sticks her head out the door to call a doctor. Lightning over heard her use the word mut to describe him.

Maple unhooked her monitors and used her IV stand to walk as she walked to the room she heard Lightning's voice. "Lightning?" she called in looking at the nurse calling to someone down the hall.

A doctor hurried in "Sir if you do not calm down i have permission to put you down " (make him sleep). Lightning pulls at the wrist bands, "first tell me where i am, second why did the girl over there call me a mut eh? And THIRDLY wheres my girlfriend??"

Maple heard the yelling and quickly went in the room. "Lightning! Calm down babe." she said glaring at the doctor and walking to his side gently petting his head. "I'm right here Li-Li." she whispered.

Lightning looked at her condition and finally realized where they were. "Maple w-what happened? Why does everything hurt? Why am i tied up? so many questions my." the nurse brings a wheel chair for Maple, and says "You were stabbed in the back and arm so theres your answer to the pain. You being restrained well in surgery you almost attacked the doctor. So its for safety reasons"
Lightning was flabbergasted (yus i used a big word XD)"A-Attacked the doctor? I wouldnt hurt anyone none the less a doctor you gotta be wrong about that."
"No even your record says that because you're a hal-" The doctor cut her off midsentence cause he needed her.

[awwww shet things are going down. lol he had to find out sooner or later]

Malpe glared at the doctor knowing what he was about to say. There were better words than 'That word'. It really made her mad when other used the 'M' or 'H' word to describe him because she felt it was very insensitive. Shaking her head, she rested a hand on Lightning's gently afraid of what she was about to tell him. Even though she promised Daisy she wouldn't tell, he needed to know. "Li-Li. There's something you need to know..." she began, her voice catching in her throat as she spoke.

[True, but poor Li-Li, ignorance was bliss, now that is about to shatter.]

Lightning tried to move again and huffed with frustration of being restrained. "What is it maple?.." he turned his head so he could see her better.

"Lightning, you are part werehog. Because of this, when you get mad, hurt, or are protecting one you love, you go into a destructive state unaware of what you're doing. That is what happened at the library, that is what happened the day I met your father, and that is what happened before you even me. I promised your sister to not tell you because we knew you would only be hurt by this news, but it's better i tell you than someone who knows nothing of who you are other than your blood." Maple choked out tears coming to her eyes for keeping this from him for so long and for also breaking the promise to Daisy.

Lightning hitched his breath and had a lump in his throat. His voice cracks a bit "S-so thats why... I can't remember anything..." He was silent and looked at the ceiling, to process everything. "I've could of hurt.. you.. or Daisy.. or just about anyone.. I don't even know what i did to mark but knowing what i became what i was, it must of been terrifying not only to you but to blossom as well."
[Lightning: -dramatic fall- what AM i???

Maple gave a slight chuckle. "Not for me. I love you in whatever form you're in and I know you won't hurt me. Blossom though, she's always been a big chicken." she said running a finger over his cheek gently. "I'm here for you with whatever you need. Love you." she whispered in his ear.

Tears pricked his eyes "Man i wish i could hug you right now. Stupid safety thingsss." He nuzzles her cheek. "Thanks Maple tree.. and love you too." The nurse walked back in. "Well everything seems to check out okay. You'll just need your stitches reaplied. You as well Ms.Maple. From you moving you most likely stretched them out and because your wound is so deep it might start bleeding again if we dont." She tightens the straps holding lightning and motions another nurse to take him to get the stiches. She then grabs the wheel chair that maple is in. "okay ready?"

Maple groaned in annoyance but nodded. "Love you Lightning. See after getting the stupid stitches." she said rolling her eyes as she's wheeled away.

[And mine are getting shorter. XD]

Even later that day...
Lightning comes out of the surgical room knocked out and snoring lightly as a nurse pushed his wheel chair to where Maple was.

Maple heard his soft snoring and looked over letting out a quiet chuckle. "Such a goof." she said watching his sleeping for with a smile. [like totally not creepy. XD]

"so you guys are free to go." Lightning sighs and slumps a bit. "We also had to sedate him so he'll be asleep for an hour or two"

[I wonder how blossom sees him now :/ lol]

Maple just chuckled and nodded. "That's fine. I need to call my sister then we can get this big softy out of here." she said teasingly as she called Blossom.

"Hey sis, I need your help." Maple said as Blossom answered.
"Ok, what with?" Blossom asked feeling relived to as she spoke to her sister.
"We're being released from the hospital but with my stitches, I can't get Lightning home myself." Maple explained and Blossom nodded knowing Maple couldn't see her.
"Alright, I'll bring the car. See you soon sis. Love you." Blossom said before hanging up.

Maple sighed placing a hand on Lightning's cheek and gently rubbing her thumbing it with a smile.

[She isn't afraid so to speak but she is now very wary of him. Like Maple, she has her own hidden problem but no one knows about it but Blossom.]

Lightning unknowingly nuzzles her hand, and purrs lightly.

Maple chuckled lightly watching him with a kind smile until Blossom arrived. Upon seeing them, Blossom gave a small chuckle before going 'Awe'. Maple blushed slightly at her sister but then chuckled as well. "Let's get you two home shall we?" Blossom said pushing Lightning's wheelchair while Maple wheeled her own out to the lobby where the returned Maple's but had to keep Lightning to get him to the car.

Lightning was put in to the car and they were on their merry way to the house. He later broke into a sweat and had a trouble look on his face while sleeping.

Maple sat in the back with Lightning and began to gently pet his head. "It's Ok Li-Li." she whispered as Blossom drove to Maple's house.

He hugged the closest thing for comfort and ironically enough it was maple lol.

[i had a nightmare once of me falling off a boat and drowning. now im terrified of boat rides :/

Maple held him tightly so he knew he wasn't alone. "I'm here love. I'm here." she said.

Blossom finally arrived infront of Maple's house. "We're here sis." she said gently looking in the rear view mirror and chuckling at what she saw

Lightning open his eyes slightly and yawned. "Mm.. " When he noticed what he was doing he jolted up blushing brightly.

Maple chuckled and hugged him tighter. "You're so cute when you're sleeping." she teased kissing his cheek.

Lightning blushed brightly. " Y-you were watching me sleep?" He looked a bit embarased.

"Seeing as how I had nothing better to do and you were cuddling me, yes." she said with a chuckle kissing his nose then opening the car door and stepping out. "Let's get inside goof." she added waiting for him to get out.

[XD Oh Lord Maple! X'D]

"I-I was.. er.. O-okay. " Lightning got out of the car. He is still blushing like a mad man his ears are even turning pink.

"Oh, you're just so cute Li-Li." Maple chuckled opening the door to her house. "Thanks for the ride Blossom. Love you sis."

"Love you too. Be good you two, mom is so worried about you right now Maple. Please don't be idiot and do something stupid." Blossom said her voice held a hint of worry.

Maple just laughed a minute before answering. "No promises!" she yelled as Blossom drove off to get home.

Lightning smiled and waved goodbye at Blossom. "W-well this would be the time I'd say good bye to you too but for percautious reasons. Could i possibly crash with you Maple tree?" He looks around for a bit making sure no one suspious is around.
[He's still in overprotective mode from the whole mark thing lol. and which one lol eve]

Maple smiled and kissed his cheek. "I was hoping you would ask." she said smiling with a nod. "You're welcome anytime, you know that." she teased poking his nose before walking and sitting on the couch and turning on the TV.

Lightning smiles and walks in, closing the door behind him. He the goes to sit with maple on the couch.

Maple leans against him lightly as she enjoyied his warmth. "I'm glad you're ok." she whispered.

Lightning does a manly giggle [XD] and hugs/snuggles maple. "I should be saying that to you."
