Jonathan watched the white tile flooring as they walked. He let a smile slide onto his face as he shoved his hands into his pockets. He avoidee glancing at Cass, for he found himself staring whenever he did. He certianly had himself a crush on the red commander. He doubted she would take any interest in him though: a /human/.
"There certianly isn't any way you could have made it on time when a clumsy human knocked you over in the hallway!" He said, side glancing at Cass for a fraction of a second.
He kept quiet for a while longer, pondering to himself.

"New commander, going to the main lab.. It would seem that a very important person ran into me today, hm?"
Jonathan could see the lab doors at the end of the hall. He didn't want their conversation to be over..

"Important, me?"
The robot twisted towards Jonathan with a low creaking of her gears. "Not the slightest! You should have seen me during the whole 'choosing-of-jobs' o-or whatever ordeal."
Cassidy let out a stiff laugh, shaking her head. "Most people believed it was a joke!"

The red robot glanced before her.
"O-oh! The lab!"
She nervously laughed, raising a plastic hand to adjust her scarf.
"I'd.. I'd best be going." She pointed forwards towards the metal doors.
"But you could stop by my dorm sometime, if you wanted."
Cassidy said this as polietly as she could, hoping Jonathan may mistake this as an act of kindness programmed in her, not her own brain, working mysteriously on it's own.
"The number's 87C, if you wanted to know."
Cassidy gave a large, red liped smile, and waved a goodbye as she opened the lab doors, closing them quickly shut behind her.

The robot let out a puff of smoke, relieved, amd feeling very flustered. She had pretty much nope-d her way out of that conversation.

Jonathan barely had a chance to say goodbye before she disappeared into the lab. He waved meekly at her leaving
form.
"I will!" he called after her, his voice cracking just the slightest. "bye!"

The lab door shut and the curly haired man was left standing alone in the hallway.
He heaved a sigh and closed his eyes for a moment, attempting to will away his blush. This was so unlike him, and yet, he'd fallen head over heels for a girl he'd just /met/.
A blue Walter worker passed by, his white uniform perm pressee and a clipboard was under his arm.

"Hey, Jon." He called.

Jonathan physically jumped, looking at him with startled eyes.
"Hey!" He exclaimed, a tad too loud.

"You're needed in lab 12." The worker said with a smile, pointing to his clipboard.

"Yea, okay.." Jonathan muttered, running a hand over the back of his neck.
That was it, then. He spun on his heel and headed for Lab 12...

Celesta all but cheered when Cass walked in.
"H-hey Cass!" She said happily,

not done

trotting over to the red robot.

"I'm glad you're h-here! I w-w-was running out of tune m-medlys." The white robot's neck sparked, causing her to flinch.

"I-i-it's an e-especially glitchy day, l-l-looks like.." She muttered.
Her eyes looked sad, and yet, a smile remained on her lips.

"Well then.."
Cassidy set down her stack of papers on a nearby desk. "I'll be here to fix that."
The robot strolled over to the other. A sad look crossed her face. She let her courage slip into a frown, and she squeezed her eyes shut.

The fact Celesta had forgotten all about her made the cyborg's human heart clench. She gulped, remembering what Peter had told her.
/'Don't say a word.'/
They echoed in her head.
Cassidy snapped out of thought and sprung into action.
"Okay, Celesta.." Cassidy started, and strode across the room to retrieve a clipboard and a pen.
"I'm supposed to ask you.. what area do you think is the most damaged on you? Or.. What I should work on first, exactly?"

Cassidy balanced the clipboard in her arm and waited for Celesta's response.

The white robot inhaled; her gears grinding. She tapped her finger tips together, as was ger habit, and slowly met Cass' gaze.

"W-w-well... Everything is a l-little wonky.. My ears d-doon't calibrate as they should.. My arm h-hydraulics mess up a l-lot.. But.." Celesta paused.

She did not usually tell people about this one. But she was certianly in the right place, and she wanted to trust these people with all of her heart. Literally.

The white robot brought her hands to her shirt and pulled it up to her chest.
"N-n-no one except m-my creator knew about th-thissss." Her ears sparked.

She tapped a nearly invisible button and the left sidemof her chest popped open. Inside was a pale, glowing orb. Wires were hooked to it, and the glow pulsated. With gentle hands she took hold of it and pulled it from her chest cavity, the wires following along. The orb had a massive crack running through it, and from within, it looked to be flickering from the inside out.
Celesta hummed gently.

"M-my heart is k-k-kind of the root of my problems."

Celesta held the orb out towards Cass, a small, hesitant grin on her face.

Cassidy nearly froze, staring at the orb that was being held between the other's hands. That was /definetly/ the main problem. But now, Cassidy felt bad, hearing that only her creator knew..
"I bet more people than your creator knew of this.." Cassidy whispered gently. Her own Celesta had a very, very broken heart as well. But Cass had mended it. She would do the same for this Celesta, too.

"This is an /easy/ fix, though." Cassidy smiled softly. "All I'll have to do is.. replicate it." She glanced at her clipboard, then back at the orb, squinting at it.
"You could even help me build it in the process.."

Cassidy stared down at the orb. Then, she shakily held out her plastic fingers.
"May I..?"
She was asking to hold it.

Celesta's eyes seemed to visibly brighten.
"You can do th-th-that!?" She squeaked, high pitched sounds ripping through her vocoder.
The robot stepped slightly closer to Cass.
"Okay.."
She lowered her hands, softly setting her heart into Cass' palms. The orb seemed to physically pulse with each glow, a gentle humming vibration eminating from it.
As Celesta took her hands away, she let out a breath of steam. No one had ever handled her heart before, besides her creator. And when he had, he had torn it from her chest, force-powering her down. This was the first time she'd ever been awake for this.

"L-l-literal broken h-heart, huh?" She giggled, watching Cass' face.

Cassidy couldn't help but smile at her.
"Again, an easy fix." She giggled. Cassidy gently flipped the core over, tracing the large ugly crack over with her thumb.
"Yea, I can't mend this actual heart, here.. I'll create a new one. It'll be simple! Then I'll tidy up your other parts, too!"
Cassidy gently handed the core back, and scuttled over to her stack of papers, beginning to rife through them, searching for something.

After smoothing her shirt back down, Celesta tapped up behind Cass.
"Is it odd t-to be excited?" She asked, "B-b-because I'm excited." The white bot couldn't stop smiling.

"I'm s-so glad I came here. I'm so g-g-glad to have m-met you!" Celesta gently rubbed her palm over the others shoulder.
The robot twirled in a small circle on her toes, her ears twitching.
"Wait, w-wasn't there s-s-some people I was sp-sposed to meet?"

//quiet me voice

Cassidy flinched at the sudden contact, and a grin cracked onto her lips.
"We were, yes, but Peter said that he would bring an assistant to escort us there, dear."
Cassidy let her old names for her friend slip as she pulled up the paper she was looking for.
"Ah, yes, here we are!" She exclaimed. "You're built around a core, I learned about this in class.. We took a /bunch/ of notes on it one day."
Cassidy walked over to Celesta, her dress bouncing against her knees, and handed her the paper to examine. There were multiple drawings, and dagrams, and sketchy handwriting that was barley legible.

Celesta gripped the paper in her hands. She held it to her face, scanning over each word and drawing. She had always had an affinity for handwriting. She felt as though once she knew how someone wrote, she was closer to them.
She handed the paper back, nodding.
"You would be the e-expert. I'm just the p-p-painted titanium mess that h-holds it." She giggled again, gesturing to her chest.

The white robot leaned her but.t against the desk, looking over her shoulder at the rest of Cass' notes.
"You are very unique." She muttered absently, her eyes tracing a particularly elaborate diagram.

"For once, I agree with that statement.." Cassidy muttered darkly, taking the paper back from Celesta. "But.. anyways, should we get goin'? On your core that is-"

Before Cass could finish, there was a knock on the door.

Drakken: (thats why he always picked up pebbles..)

Frederick: pardon, did you say something

drakken: NO! no, no, no, nothing important

The white robot was just about to agree when there was a knock on the door. She looked at Cass with a mix of anticipation and trepidation. In fairness, she wasn't quite sure what to expect.
"I'll be r-r-ready to work on it w-whenever you a-a-are." Celesta told Cass.
She took her place behingnthe red commander and stared at the door, her ears shifting and flattening against her head. She breathed smoke and busied herself by examining Cass' notes yet again.

Cassidy sighed. She didn't exactly love the idea of people going through her things, but this was Celesta we where speaking of. Her used-to-be-best-friend.
Cassidy marched to the door and opened it. A deep, yet calming voice echoed around the room, seeming to physically fill the awkward tensions and letting them slip away.
"I apologize in advance, miss. Mister Walter could not find an escort for you so I decided to come along. I am David. And.. who might that be behind you?"

Celesta raised her head. She blinked her glowing eyes, synthetic lashes batting softly. She breathed softly. The white robot tapped the papers with the tips of her fingers in finality before she slowly walked up behind Cass.
"I-i'm Celesta.." She muttered quietly, looking up at the man.
Her ears drooped further back, small plumes of steam escaped the modules between her ear towers and her head.
"I just got h-here last night.." She explained.

Her earlier energetic disposition had all but completely dispelled. Her metal hands balled into fists. She really liked his voice.
Celesta licked over her white lips with her pale purple tongue in apprehension.
The robot looked at Cass. This didn't seem to be affecting /her/ at all. Was it another malfunction? Another glitch? She turned back to him, her gears seeming to stutter just enough for her mouth to smoke. A pale purple rose into her cheeks.
She sincerely hoped she wouldn't overheat...
