:Rules:
*Do your research! :D You must have a decent amount of knowledge of cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises).
* Only a limited amount of participants are allowed. Depending on the number of people joining, I will determine the number of members permitted.
*You can enter up to two h.umpbacks.
*Refs do not have to be submitted by the time the first RP comes around. Take your time. c:
:Ref Note:
*Whale must not be extremely vibrantly colored. I will allow gray, dark blue and other relatively natural colors.

*Also, don't "overpower" your character.
*Refs must include your whale's name, age, gender, desired rank, etc.
I'll be posting the possible ranks shortly.

:Ranks:
Matriarch (leader)
Sentinel (keeps watch over the tribe and is vigil of approaching danger)
Heal Master (is knowledgable of remedies and treating injuries)
Hunter-Gatherers (whales that feed cooperatively in small groups. Calves are automatically moved to this rank once they are old enough. )
Calf (babies! :D)
Senior (elders of the pod whom members of the tribe turn to for knowledge of new feeding techniques or oncoming storms.)
There we go! :D If you have any questions on joining or h.umpback whales or other cetaceans, you need only ask.

Oh, the technique I use for the throat grooves? I first use a dark base color, then have the airbrush on low opacity, and finally lighten small sections at a time.

I'll post a map of the pod's location later. Hmm... I'm contemplating whether this pod should migrate.

And wow, Angelica1, I see you've liked just about every single one of my paintings! o: Heh, some of my art is pretty old (and sometimes I hardly ever want to look at it! XD), but it goes to show how much I've drastically improved since my arrival on Colors! nearly three years ago.

Ooh, that sounds so cool! :D I have so little knowledge on humpbacks, I'd have to do a looot of research before I make any decisions XD

I kind of know what you mean. Either RP sessions come abruptly and you aren't prepared and are worried the other menbers of the RP got ahead without you, or the RP might have a fixed date but it may be posted at an unexpected time as well.

I shouldn't have expected too many people to join or to even want to. Maybe one reason is because Colors! is so empty nowadays. xc There are only two members so far...

(I forgot to mention that most possibe roles can have more than one member fill its place. Up to three or five, to be exact. Such instances include the rank of Sentinel, Hunter-Gatherer, Calf, and Senior. Wait, I think that's all of them. XD Meh, I doubt we'll ever get so many members, though. Plus, if there were five members for nearly every possible rank... That'd amount to twenty-two whales total! X-X That's about the size of the main pod in my novel, yes, but here, as an RP, well, that'd be too much to manage!)
