Ah, I see. I copied & pasted into Irfan to view against a black background. The foreground pops more, but I was going to suggest darkening the two sides of the buildings that have windows to push the contrast more against the light from within. Tough to judge on a DS screen, but I think the painting is very nice.
I think the main problem is that the top half is too bright and the bottom part is too dark. it's a poor composition i only realized at the very end. i tried to compensate with the birds, but those can only do so much... but thanks for your kind critique, means a lot to me!

The contrast is too low, a lot of the details got lost. everything "popped" more on the DS Screen than it does on my big screen.

i like it. although, i'll have to study more about composition to give a more educated assessment of this painting. :)
